4. Cellphone APP

APP Download

The "Smart Life" APP is available on major global app stores. Search for "Smart Life" or scan the QR code on the cover to download. For users in mainland China, scan the QR code of the official website. For users outside mainland China, scan the QR code for the Google Play link. The APP downloaded from the official website and Google Play is the same, only the download channel differs. Note: Due to network reasons, downloading via Google Play QR code might not be possible in mainland China.

The descriptions in this manual are based on the Android system. Descriptions may vary slightly for different APP versions or iOS systems. The actual installed mobile phone APP version prevails.

Installation

Scan the QR code on the back cover of the host with your cellphone to download and install the APP. Ensure the host is powered on and in a disarmed state. Enter the engineering password 6666# -- 00 -- #. The voice broadcast will announce entry into WIFI distribution network mode. Ensure the host and mobile phone are on the same WIFI network.

Run the "Smart Life" APP, log in with your registered account (new users must register). On the APP device list interface, press the "Smart Configuration" button in the upper right corner. Select your WIFI network and enter the password, then press "OK" to start configuration.

Method 1:

Click to add settings in the "Smart Life" APP and follow the prompts (turn on Bluetooth). If network configuration is successful, the detector will broadcast a voice indicating successful internet connection. If configuration takes over 120 seconds without success, it means WIFI configuration failed.

Method 2:

Click to add a device in the "Smart Life" APP, turn on Bluetooth, click the socket (Bluetooth + WIFI), confirm the indicator light flashes quickly, click "fast flash", then "next step", and "Continue". If network configuration is successful, the detector will broadcast a voice indicating successful network connection. If configuration exceeds 120 seconds without success, network access configuration has failed.

Exit Settings and Daily Operation

Exit Settings

After settings are complete, press [*] then [#]. The host beeps, and the [SET] light turns off, returning to standby.

Alarm Panel States

The alarm panel typically has four states:

  • Arming status: Zones 1-208 are valid.
  • Arming at Home: Alarm is valid only for specified zones (e.g., entrance, perimeter).
  • Disarm status: Zones 1-208 will not alarm (except 24-hour zones).
  • Setting status: All defense zones are inactive during settings.

6. Daily Operation

The remote control allows radio-based functions. It facilitates operations like arming when going out, arming at home, emergency alarm, and disarming.

  • Arming when going out: Press the [➡️] key. The unit enters arming state. This is also known as fortification and vigilance.
  • Disarm operation: Press the [?] key. The unit enters disarm state. This is also known as disarming.
  • Arming at home: Press the [?] key. Alerts are set for entrance, exit, or perimeter. This is also called home defense.
  • Emergency alarm: Press the [?] key. The host sends an alarm immediately, triggering on-site sound/light alarms and pushing content to the mobile APP.
  • Defense zone triggering: When a detector in an armed or 24-hour zone is triggered, an alarm task is generated.
  • Arming delay (Exit Delay): Provides time to leave the scene after arming.
  • Alarm delay (Entry Delay): Provides time to disarm the host after a detector is triggered upon entry.

7. Alarm Procedure and Alarm Handling

Upon an alarm, the siren sounds. The system sends an SMS indicating the zone, then dials preset numbers for voice alarm. If calls are unanswered, it cycles through preset numbers up to three times. If a call is answered, an alarm voice message is sent.

Remote Control and Maintenance

8. Remote Control (via Phone)

Dial the alarm host's phone number. After rings, prompts will guide you: "press 1 to arm, 2 to disarm, 3 to monitor, 4 to talk". Use phone keypad buttons for operations: 1-arm, 2-disarm, 3-monitor, 4-intercom, 5-turn off monitor/intercom, 6-turn on siren, 7-turn off siren, #-hang up.

Note: Alarm dial does not support voice prompts or direct hanging up with #. Direct on-hook acts as no answer, and the host redials cyclically.

9. SOS

For emergencies (elderly illness, fire, intruders), press the [?] emergency button on the main unit, the [?] button on the remote control, or the emergency button. The system alarms and makes an automatic phone call.

10. Additional Features

In disarmed state, enter a phone number (e.g., 13800138000), press [➡️] to confirm. Host beeps, dialing is successful. Press [?] to hang up. Host remains disarmed.

11. Maintenance

System Detection

Regular maintenance ensures stable operation. Inspect the host every three months and detectors monthly (or every three months if no issues arise).

Host Detection:

  • Check normal arming/disarming.
  • Verify outgoing call functionality.
  • Confirm normal detector signal reception and backup battery status.

Probe Detection:

  • Manually trigger detectors to check alarm function.
  • Check detector batteries for under-voltage. Test wireless detector communication with the host.
