Key Features
The CBX25UH-T air handler is designed for efficient and reliable operation, featuring:
- Copper Tube/Enhanced Fin Evaporator Coil: Assembled in an "A" configuration for large surface area, excellent heat transfer, and low air resistance. Features precise circuiting, ripple-edged aluminum fins on seamless copper tubes, and lanced fins for maximum air stream exposure. Tubing is designed for easy servicing and leakproof construction.
- R-410A Refrigerant System: Utilizes a non-chlorine, ozone-friendly R-410A valve, which is a wide-range, Chatleff style fitting, factory-installed internally.
- Refrigerant Line Connections: Suction (vapor) and liquid lines have sweat connections extending outside the cabinet for ease of connection.
- Filter: Includes a disposable 25 mm filter, with a filter rack furnished in the cabinet for easy installation.
- Blower: Equipped with a multi-speed permanent split capacitor (PSC) motor, allowing for choice of blower speeds via simple wiring changes. The blower is easily removable for servicing.
- Time Delay Blower Relay: Provides a one-second blower "on" delay before continuous fan/cooling operation and a 45-second blower "off" delay after continuous fan/cooling operation.
- Controls: Includes a standard 24-volt transformer and blower cooling relay, factory-installed in the unit control box.
- Cabinet: Constructed of heavy gauge galvanized steel with a pre-painted finish. It is completely insulated with foil-faced fiberglass insulation. Removable panels provide full service access, and a filter access door with thumbscrews allows for easy filter replacement. Electrical inlets are provided in the sides and top of the cabinet. Drain connection plugs are located in the cabinet for upflow (left/right) and horizontal applications.
- Low Leakage Cabinet: All models meet ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 193-2010 for air tightness, with less than 2% air leakage.
- Anti-Microbial Dual Position Drain Pans: Feature an anti-microbial additive to resist mold and mildew growth, improving indoor air quality and reducing drain line blockage. These deep, corrosion-resistant, high-temperature engineered polymer drain pans have dual pipe drains and are designed for upflow or horizontal applications.
Applications
The CBX25UH-T models are suitable for nominal capacities ranging from 7.0 to 17.6 kW (1.5 to 5 Tons). They are designed for upflow or horizontal applications. Downflow applications are possible with an optional conversion kit. These units are compatible with R-410A expansion valve systems for cooling and check and expansion valve systems for heat pump applications.
Approvals
- Tested and rated in accordance with AHRI Standard 210/240 test conditions.
- Air handlers and components are bonded for grounding to meet safety standards required by Intertek (ETL) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).
- Manufacturing Quality System is registered to ISO 9001.
