Examples are for reference only.

Electrical Connections:

Diagram 1: When Indoor Evaporator Unit is powered from the Outdoor Condenser Unit

This diagram illustrates the wiring between the indoor evaporator and outdoor condenser units. It details input power (100-240V, 50/60Hz, 2.5A MAX) and alarm relay connections (125V 6.3A max or 250V 2.5A max). It emphasizes following safety instructions, isolating power, and installing in accordance with electrical codes. A note mentions the alarm relay fuse rating (HRC type, e.g., T6.3AH250V for 125V, T2.5AH250V for 250V) and the option of installing a supplementary fuse (T0.2AH250V).

Diagram 2: Power only with no alarm circuit

This diagram shows a simplified connection where the alarm cable is not used. It warns that water damage can occur if the drain line is kinked, pinched, or plugged.

Diagram 3: When Outdoor Condenser is powered from the Indoor Evaporator Unit

This diagram shows the wiring when the outdoor condenser unit powers the indoor evaporator. It details input power and alarm relay connections, similar to Diagram 1, with notes on fuse ratings and electrical codes. It also mentions the connection is made inside the indoor evaporator.

Diagram 4: When Multi-Split System is installed

This diagram illustrates the wiring for a multi-split system, showing connections between the VRF Condenser Unit (Outdoor) and Evaporator Units (Indoor), including the condensate pump and alarm relay.

Troubleshooting

FaultCorrection
No LED lightsCheck incoming voltage (blue and brown wires). Verify power and alarm wires are not crossed. Note: Old COMBI #3004046 has opposite connectors.
Pump runs constantlyCheck filter placement (water filter should not touch digital sensor). Clean digital sensor for dirt/mold/debris with distilled water or alcohol-based liquid. Check all tubing connections are secure and drain line is clear of clogs, kinks, or pinching. If pump runs constantly with water flowing from drain line, adjust DIP-switch power settings to increase capacity, as the system may have too much water or lift for the current setting.
Pump will not runCheck for power at blue and brown wires. If LED blinks green, pump is on standby waiting for water; add water to sensor. If LED blinks green and water is present, check sensor cable connections at both ends. Ensure connectors are inserted correctly and not forced.
A/C unit is off / Air conditioner turns off the pumpIf the pump LED status is solid red (not blinking) and alarm wiring is connected properly, the alarm relay is intentionally stopping the A/C unit to prevent overflow. This is normal. If alarm wiring is used, check HRC alarm fuse for continuity and replace if necessary. If alarm wiring is used and wiring is correct, check status LED; if OFF, there's a power supply or pump fault. During alarm status, the pump runs to lower water level. It will automatically reset the alarm relay when the water level is low enough. Many outdoor units have a 5-minute delay before restarting.
Alarm is activated (LED solid red)Indicates too much incoming water for the pump to handle. The digital sensor trips the alarm relay, stopping power to the A/C system (if alarm wiring is used). Possible causes: blocked/kinked/pinched drain line, incorrect capacity settings, or high vertical lift. Check alarm cable installation. If alarm is not used and drain line is blocked, pump can overflow; always use the alarm function.
Water is drippingCheck all hose connections. High head pressure can dislodge hoses; use factory-supplied cable ties. Check filter placement; if touching the digital sensor, it may activate the pump incorrectly. Clean sensor and filter. Configure pump capacity correctly for A/C capacity and drain line lift/run.
Pump is noisyCheck for and correct any siphon effect in the drain line. If the drain line dips below the pump, water weight can create a siphon, causing the pump to run dry and make noise. Install drain line correctly to prevent this.
LED lights flash (5x on startup)This is the normal startup sequence. The sequence indicates if the alarm is configured for Default Mode or Peripheral Mode. The alarm relay is user-configurable.
3 red & 3 green LED flashesThis indicates a pump reconfigure code, signaling that the pump needs more power. If the pump experiences 3 consecutive long run cycles from standby to alarm mode, it indicates DIP switch settings are too low for the incoming water flow or lift. Adjust DIP switch settings to increase power. This code appears only after 3 consecutive long run cycles that entered alarm mode.

Maintenance

Water filter maintenance:

Regular cleaning/replacement of the water filter prolongs pump life by preventing debris entry. Cleaning or replacing the filter is recommended at least every 12 months. In environments with high dust, smoke, cooking oils, or algae growth, clean/replace every 3 months. To clean/replace, remove the filter from the water sensor body, wash with cold water, and reinsert between the sensor body retaining flanges.

Change alarm relay fuse:

WARNING: Isolate power first.

The alarm relay fuse is a TxxAH250V type, with a maximum rating of 6.3A.

Example Data Points from the Table:

  • With 0.0m suction lift and 0m discharge rise, the flow rate is 42 L/Hr.
  • With 1.0m suction lift and 5m discharge rise, the flow rate is 30 L/Hr.
  • With 3.0m suction lift and 10m discharge rise, the flow rate is 15 L/Hr.
  • The table covers suction lifts up to 3.0m and discharge rises up to 20m, with total lengths up to 30m.
