System Warranty
For mechanical thermostats installed with RA-DV, RA-N, or RA-U valves listed in Section 1 above, the 5-year warranty is extended to a total of 10 years from the date of purchase by the first original end-user, but never exceeding 10 years and 4 months from the date of manufacture of the Product. This is called System Warranty.
To obtain the System Warranty, the professional installer who installed the product must complete and sign the document attached as Appendix 1. In case of a claim covered by the System Warranty, this document must be submitted to Danfoss along with the installer's invoice, on which the products are clearly listed. The 5-year warranty period and the 10-year system warranty are collectively referred to as the "warranty period".
Warranty Validity
The warranty applies to products purchased from 2020 onwards, installed by a professional installer.
The warranty is only valid if the Products are clearly listed on the installer's invoice. The system warranty also requires that the professional installer who installed the products completes and signs Appendix 1.
The warranty is valid only for the first original end-user and is subject to the conditions defined herein. The warranty is non-transferable.
Warranty Claim Procedure
All warranty claims must be submitted in writing.
Complaints must be submitted to the installer without undue delay, with proof of installation by a professional installer (installer's invoice) and a copy of the special extended warranty (i.e., Appendix 1, if applicable), to be received by the installer no later than 30 days after discovery of the defect.
Danfoss may require that the defective product be handed over to Danfoss via a plumber, with a written description of the reason for returning the product. Returned or submitted products for repair must not contain any additional equipment unless otherwise specified. If Danfoss's examination proves that the product is not defective, Danfoss may return the product at your expense and risk.
If the installer from whom you purchased the product, including professional installation, ceases business operations, please contact Danfoss Ltd., Dózsa György út 146-148 Budapest, 1134 Hungary, www.danfoss.hu directly.
Extent of Warranty
During the warranty period, Danfoss will, at its sole discretion, offer a new, comparable replacement product or repair the product if the product defect is caused by Danfoss design, material, or manufacturing defects.
The warranty does not cover installation or handling costs, such as costs related to the disassembly of defective products or the installation of replacement products or repaired products. Batteries are not covered by the warranty.
Limitations and Exclusions
The warranty does not cover the following defects:
- Operating conditions deviating from the technical specifications and user manuals;
- Caused by failure to modify or repair software defects;
- Caused by software defects that significantly impede the use of the Product, provided that Danfoss releases a software fix within a reasonable time;
- Caused by improper use;
- Caused by improper installation or improper maintenance.
If Danfoss or a third party investigates or repairs a defect not covered by this Warranty at Danfoss's instruction, Danfoss may charge for the time spent and materials used, provided that Danfoss is not otherwise obligated to pay such costs for legal reasons.
Dispute Resolution
Disputes between the product owner and Danfoss concerning the extended warranty shall be resolved in accordance with the applicable Czech laws.
