If the rupture prevents intended operation of the unit an audible trouble signal must sound. 49.1 - The maximum time from the occurrence of a fault or adverse condition in any communication path or equivalent during annunciation or idle time, or the restoration of the fault, or adverse condition to normal shall be 90 seconds. This solution uses software to monitor residents' cognitive ability and health. When the system is installed there is a `check-in window' programmed into the software. Each active Check-In Device is recognized on the system and must check-in within that window or an alert will be sent to the staff. DATA LOGGING FEATURE: All calls that come into the system are logged in the software and saved including the call, call cancellation, date, and time. This data is important for managing staff and residents. The data can be exported for easy evaluation. SYSTEM CONTROLLERS: The "brains" of the SmartCare System are located in the Host Controller. Every system requires a programmed Host Controller. Programming is done through an Ethernet port and saved on a removable USB flash drive for programming backup. Systems that exceed the device maximum and/or distances require an Expansion Board.
