Connection Diagram Description

The diagram shows a DOCKTECK 7-in-1 USB-C Hub connecting various devices. A 'Type-C Host PC' is linked to the hub via its USB-C cable. The hub then connects to an 'HDMI Display' (4K@60Hz), an 'Ethernet Source' (via the RJ45 port), and 'USB Devices' (via the USB-A ports). An 'SD/TF Card' is shown inserted into the hub's card slots. A 'Type-C PD Adapter' is connected to the hub's USB-C female port, indicating power input for charging the host PC and the hub itself.

Additional Information & Troubleshooting

4K 60Hz Output Requirements

  • The hub supports 4K@60Hz, backward compatible with 4K@30Hz, 2K@60Hz, and 1080p@60Hz.
  • 4K@60Hz requires a laptop with DisplayPort 1.4 and 8K enablement. Laptops with DisplayPort 1.2 may be limited to 4K@30Hz.
  • For optimal 4K@60Hz display, ensure the host device, display, and HDMI cable all support the same resolution.

HDMI Port Not Working

  1. Confirm your device's USB-C port supports DP Alt Mode. Consult your device's manual or manufacturer.
  2. Test with a different computer and HDMI cable to isolate the issue.
  3. Connect the HDMI cable directly to your device to check for a stable connection. If unstable, the HDMI cable might be the cause.
  4. Ensure your monitor is set to the correct HDMI input source.

General Usage Tips

  • Connect the hub to your host device first, then connect peripherals.
  • USB 3.0 ports are primarily for data and may not support charging high-power phones.
  • For 1 Gbps Ethernet, use CAT5E or higher Ethernet cables.
  • For iPad Pro compatibility, ensure your iPad OS is updated.
  • Due to laptop power limitations, connect only one HDD/SSD at a time.
  • USB 3.0 can interfere with 2.4GHz WiFi. Consider using your router's 5GHz band.
  • A 100W PD charger is recommended (92W for laptop, 8W for hub). The USB-C PD port is for charging only.
