Upon unboxing, the S7 Smart Glasses should be charged and ready for setup. Follow these steps to pair them with the companion app:
- Take the glasses out of the leather case.
- Press and hold the power button on the left temple for 3 seconds to turn on the glasses. A blue indicator light will flash during startup, and a "System ready" prompt will be heard upon completion.
- Once the indicator light stops flashing blue and the "System ready" prompt is heard, the device is ready to pair.
- Open the companion app on your smartphone to initiate pairing.
Pairing with the App: The app is essential for accessing the full range of features. Download it from the App Store or via a QR code. You will need to log in with your account. The app is available for mobile devices only.
Device Requirements:
- A supported smartphone (Android 7.0 or later with location services enabled, or iOS 15.6 or later).
- A valid account.
- The companion app.
- A stable internet connection.
Note: For full voice control functionality, the glasses must be connected to your smartphone via an active internet connection. To import photos, connect your phone to the glasses' Wi-Fi hotspot.
Pairing Restrictions: The S7 Smart Glasses can only be paired with one valid account at a time. To pair with a different account, the glasses must first be restored to factory settings.
Charging the Glasses
First-Time Charging:
- Remove the charging plug from the packaging (located on the charging case).
- Peel off the protective film from the metal charging contact.
- Insert one end of the Type-C charging cable into the charging plug.
- Connect the other end of the cable to the charging contact on the bottom of the S7 bridge.
The charging indicator light will flash red during charging and turn solid green when fully charged.
Charging the Charging Case:
- Insert the USB-C cable into the bottom of the charging case.
- Connect the other end to a power adapter and plug it into a wall outlet.
Charging Cable Requirements:
- USB-C to USB-C or USB-C to USB-A cables (must meet USB-C standards).
- Compatible with any USB generation.
- Minimum 3A rated current for the case. (Lower-rated cables may work but will charge slower.)
- Minimum 0.5A rated current for the glasses. (Lower-rated cables may work but will charge slower.)
Power Adapter Requirements:
- USB-C or USB-A compatible charger.
- 5W or higher recommended for the charging plug. (Lower power chargers may still work but take longer; some may not work at all for the charging case.)
- USB-PD (Power Delivery) is not required.
Both the glasses and the charging case have their own batteries. Battery levels can be checked via the app.
Possible Causes of Charging Error:
- Liquid Detected: Ensure charging contacts are clean and dry.
- High Temperature: Move the charging case to a cooler location if it's too hot.
- Incompatible Charger: Try a different USB-C cable or power adapter as recommended.
- Connection Issues: If glasses don't turn on after being placed in the case, dirt, sweat, or liquid might be affecting the connection. Clean both devices.
- Cable Incompatibility: Some USB-C cables may not be compatible, potentially causing the case's LED to flash orange or green. The app might not display the charging icon.
If charging issues persist, try a different USB-C cable or power adapter. Compatible accessories are available at the Store.
Battery Life
Glasses: With moderate use, fully charged glasses last up to 4 hours. Actual usage time may vary. It takes approximately 75 minutes to fully charge the glasses in the case. They can reach 50% charge in about 22 minutes.
Charging Case: A fully charged case can charge the glasses for up to 32 hours, depending on feature usage. The case itself takes about 3.5 hours to fully charge using a USB-C cable.
