Smart Bird Feeder Operation Guide
Camera Structure
The smart bird feeder camera system consists of the following components:
- 1. Solar Panel: Provides power to the device.
- 2. Bird Feeder Camera: The main camera unit for observing birds.
- 3. Granary: The compartment where bird food is stored.
- 4. Bird Standing Stands: Platforms for birds to perch on.
- 5. Fastener: Used for securing the device.
- 6. Granary Lid: Covers the food storage compartment.
- 7. Hook hole: For hanging or mounting the device.
- 8. Bracket screw holes: Holes for attaching mounting brackets.
- 9. Banding holes: Holes for securing with bands or straps.
- 10. Screw holes: General screw holes for assembly or mounting.
A diagram illustrates the overall structure with numbered parts, showing the solar panel on top, the camera and granary in the main body, and the feeding tray with standing stands at the bottom. Side and top views are provided, detailing the mounting and fastening points.
Appearance of the device
To install or remove the Micro SD card, turn off the device power first. It is recommended to use cloud storage for alarm recording and real-time push notifications of short videos, ensuring safety and reliability.
The device features:
- Light-sensitive sensor
- White light
- PIR human sensor
- Microphone
- Indicator light
- Hidden infrared light
- Lens
On the underside, the device has:
- TF card slot
- Switch
- Power key
- Power interface
- Reset button
- Bottom cover power supply port: This port can connect to an external power supply or solar panel to charge the device's battery.
Indicator light status:
- Power key: Long press for 3-4 seconds to turn on/off the device; a tone will be heard.
- Blue light always on: The device is awake and working normally.
- Blue light flashes quickly: Waiting for network configuration.
- Reset button: Long press for 5-10 seconds to restore the device to factory settings.
- Slow flashing blue light: The device is being accessed by the client.
- Light off: The device is in low-power standby or not started.
Quick configuration
Step 1: Download app and Register an account
- Scan the QR code provided or search for "Tris Home" in your mobile application market to download the app.
- Run the Tris Home app, register an account, and log in. Third-party accounts are supported.
A QR code labeled "Tris Home" is displayed for downloading the application.
Step 2: Configure and add device
- Click the "+" icon in the middle of the app interface or in the upper right corner to add a device. Select "Bird feeder" as shown in Figure 2.
NOTE: If you are using a dual-band router, please connect your phone to the 2.4G band Wi-Fi when configuring the network for your device.
Figure 1 shows the "All Devices" screen in the app, with a prominent "+" button to add a device. Figure 2 displays the "Add Device" screen, listing various camera types including "Bird feeder", "Square camera", "Outdoor Camera", "Bulb Camera", "Indoor Camera", and "Panoramic Camera".
Device Power-On: Long press the power button for 3-4 seconds until a tone is heard, and the blue light will flash.
NOTE: If you do not hear a tone and the indicator light does not turn on, please charge your device first.
Further Configuration:
If the blue indicator light is not flashing quickly, try long-pressing the reset button at the bottom for 5-10 seconds to restore the device to default settings, as shown in Figure 3. Follow the on-screen guide to connect the solar panel and enter the Wi-Fi password to configure the network, as shown in Figure 4.
Figure 3 illustrates the "Power on Camera" screen, instructing to open the silicone cover, press and hold the power button for 3 seconds, and then press and hold the reset button for 5-10 seconds until a prompt for factory reset is heard. Figure 4 shows the "Router Setting" screen, where users can select a Wi-Fi network (2.4GHz or 5GHz) and enter the password. It also includes a "Failed to connect to WiFi?" option.
QR Code Configuration:
Your phone will generate a QR code. Place this QR code in front of the camera at a distance of approximately 25-35cm (about 1 ft), as shown in Figure 5. Wait for the configuration to complete, as shown in Figure 6.
Figure 5, titled "QR code on mobile phone", provides instructions: 1. Point the QR code at the camera lens. 2. Maintain a distance of 25-35 cm between the camera and phone. 3. After hearing the camera prompt "connecting", you can move your phone away. 4. Wait for the camera to connect to Wi-Fi successfully. A "Next" button is present.
Figure 6, titled "Network configuration process", shows a QR code and indicates "Adding device". It states "Searching devices... It may take 2 minutes." A "Cancel" button is also visible.
