Operating Instructions & Safety Notes

Note: Please do not watch videos or use Apps while the vehicle is in motion. Doing so is a safety violation. To watch videos or use Apps, ensure the vehicle is in parked mode with the handbrake activated. Check compatibility of the device with your mobile phone before purchase. New phone software versions may or may not be compatible with the device. In-warranty replacement will not be applicable for non-compatibility of mobile phones with the device.

The car audio system was manufactured according to recommended and established safety guidelines. However, damage may occur if safety notes are not observed. These instructions are intended to familiarize users with the most important functions. Read them carefully and keep them accessible.

Symbols Used

  • Warning Symbol [!]: Warns about injuries.
  • CAUTION! Symbol: Warns about damages to the DVD/CD drive.
  • DANGER! Symbol: Warns about high volume.
  • CE Mark: Confirms compliance with EU directives.
  • Bullet Point Symbol (•): Identifies a sequencing step.
  • Arrow Symbol (→): Identifies a listing.

Road Safety

  • Use the device in a way that allows safe vehicle control. Stop if necessary and operate the device while parked.
  • Do not use applications that distract from traffic.
  • Follow driving recommendations only if they do not violate traffic regulations. Traffic signs and regulations have priority.
  • Listen at a moderate volume to protect hearing and to hear warning signals. Avoid changing volume during mute phases.

General Safety Notes

  • Do not modify or open the device.
  • Use the device as directed: intended for installation and operation in a 12V vehicle system, must be installed in a 2DIN slot. Observe output limits. Repairs and installation should be performed by a specialist.

Installation Instructions

Installation should only be performed by individuals experienced with car audio systems and vehicle electrical systems. Refer to the connection diagram.

Declaration of Conformity

Blaupunkt India Pvt. Ltd. declares that the device complies with basic requirements and relevant regulations of the RED Directive 2014/53/EU.

Cleaning Notes

Use only a dry or slightly moistened cloth. Avoid solvents, cleaning agents, dashboard spray, and plastics care products as they may damage the surface and screen.

Disposal Notes

Do not dispose of old units or batteries in household trash. Use available return and collection systems.

Warning (Battery)

The remote control contains a coin/button cell battery. If swallowed, it can cause severe internal burns and lead to death. Keep batteries away from children. If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product. Seek immediate medical attention if batteries are suspected to have been swallowed or placed inside the body.

Placing the Device in Operation

Caution: Ensure transport securing screws are removed before startup.

Switching On/Off

  • Power Key: Short press to switch on; long press (over 2 seconds) to switch off.
  • Vehicle Ignition: Device switches off when ignition is turned off and on when ignition is turned on.

Volume Control

Adjust volume from 0 to 40 using Volume Up [4] and Volume Down [5] keys.

Muting

Briefly press the Power key [2] to mute or unmute.

Main Menu (Home)

Navigate sources and modes via touchscreen buttons. Press the HOME key [3] or the [ ] button in the current source to return to the main menu. Press [Display Off] to turn off the screen; touch anywhere to reactivate.

Setting the Reception Area

This system is designed for various regions. The default is "India". To change for US or Europe:

  1. From the home page, press [Settings].
  2. In the Settings menu, press [Radio].
  3. Tap the [Radio Region] triangle symbol to select the desired region.
  4. Press the [ ] button to confirm.

Radio Mode

Start Radio Mode

Press the [Radio] button from the main menu.

Select FM/AM Band

Press the [FM] or [AM] buttons. Up to 30 stations can be stored per bank.

Tuning Into a Station

  • Manual Tuning: Briefly press [ ] or [ ] to change frequency incrementally.
  • Station Seek Tuning: Press and hold [ ] or [ ] for approx. 2 seconds to tune to the next receivable station. (Note: In Europe, only traffic announcement stations may be tuned if priority is enabled).

Storing Stations

  • Manual Store: Select FM/AM, set the station, then press and hold a memory button [1]-[30] for 2 seconds.
  • Automatic Store (Travelstore): Stores up to 30 stations for FM and AM bands separately. (Note: In Europe, only traffic announcement stations are stored if TA is active).

Scanning Stations

Press the [ ] button to play receivable stations for a few seconds. Press again to select and play the current station.

Switching RDS On/Off

In Settings -> Radio, tap the [RDS] triangle symbol to toggle RDS on/off. RDS is displayed in white when active.

Switching REG Function (Regional Programmes) On/Off

Press the [REG] button to switch the regional programme function on/off. REG is displayed in white when active.

Switching AF (Alternate Frequencies) Function On/Off

Press the [AF] button to toggle AF on/off. AF is displayed in white when active. This tunes to the best receivable frequency for the current station.

Switching TA (Travel Announcement) Function On/Off

Press the [TA] button to toggle TA on/off. TA is displayed in white when active. This enables reception of travel announcements.

Adjusting Seek Tuning Sensitivity

Press [LO] or [DX] to adjust sensitivity: [LO] finds only strong stations; [DX] finds strong and weak stations.

Selecting Programme Type and Starting Seek Tuning

Press the [PTY] button to display programme types. Scroll with [ ]/[ ] and select a type to start PTY seek tuning. The station broadcasting the selected programme type will play.

USB/microSDHC Media Playback

Basic Information

Supports MP3 and WMA files from USB data carriers and microSDHC cards. Movies and images can also be viewed on the display or a connected monitor. For safety, video/image playback on the integrated monitor requires the vehicle to be parked with the handbrake applied (BRAKE cable must be connected). Rear monitor playback is possible while driving.

Notes on Media Preparation

  • Max. 32 characters for track/directory names (without extension).
  • USB format: Mass storage device / FAT/FAT16/FAT32 (max. 32GB).
  • microSDHC format: FAT/FAT16/FAT32 (max. 32GB).
  • Audio file extensions: .MP3, .WMA (DRM-free, Windows Media Player v8+).
  • MP3 ID3 tags: Version 1 and 2 supported.
  • Bit rates: MP3 (32-320 kbps), WMA (32-192 kbps).

USB Data Carrier

Connect a USB data carrier to the USB port at the back.

microSDHC Cards

Insert microSDHC cards into the slot at the front of the device. The device automatically switches to microSDHC mode.

Audio Playback

Select the desired source from the main menu. If playback doesn't start, use [ ] to go to the folder/file list. Use [ ] to display all folders.

Playback controls include: Scroll list [ ], [▼], Previous folder [ ], Open folder [ ], Open file [ ]. Playback menu: Display list [ ], Previous file [ ], Play/Pause [;/u], Next file [ ], Equalizer [ ], Repeat function [ ], MIX random track play [ ].

Video Playback

Similar to audio playback. Use [ ] to display the folder/file list. Controls include: Display list [ ], Previous movie [ ], Play/Pause [;/u], Next movie [ ], Equalizer [ ], Repeat function [ ], MIX random track play [ ].

Image Playback

Similar to audio playback. Use [ ] to display the folder/file list. Controls include: Display list [ ], Previous file [ ], Play/Pause [;/u], Next file [ ], Repeat function [ ].

Bluetooth Mode

Bluetooth Functionality

Pair cell phones and BT-equipped media devices. Make calls with the hands-free function, access dialled numbers and phonebook (requires "Sync" option). Play music and control playback via A2DP/AVRCP. Music playback is interrupted during calls.

Starting Bluetooth Mode

From the main menu, press [Phone]. The Bluetooth menu displays the phone log list.

Navigation: Scroll list [ ], [▼]. Access lists: Missed calls [ ], Dialled numbers [ ], Incoming calls [ ]. Keypad menu [ ], Phonebook [ ], Bluetooth settings [ ]. Tap contact bar to make a call.

Phonebook

Access phonebook via [ ]. Use [ ] to bring up the keypad for searching contacts. Once paired, the device menu is displayed. Press [ ] to connect to a Bluetooth device or [ ] to delete a device.

Telephone Mode - Bluetooth

Press the [ ] button. Enter a number with the keypad and press [ ] or tap a contact/number from the caller list/phonebook.

Call controls: Reject call [ ], Answer call [ ], Microphone mute [ ], Switch between phone/car audio [ ].

Phone Book Sync & Download

Allow phonebook sync on your mobile phone for access. The system supports up to 1024 numbers. Phone log and phonebook download begins upon pairing and sync selection, resuming if interrupted.

Connection Status

A Bluetooth icon appears on the display when a device is connected.

Registering Bluetooth Devices

Select Phone on the car audio system and your Bluetooth device. Search for new devices. Enter the pairing code (e.g., "BP 350" appears in the device list). You may need to enter the pairing code again to establish the connection.

External Audio/Video Sources

AV-IN Input

Features an external AV input for audio and video playback, located at the rear. Select [AV IN] from the HOME screen.

Rear Camera Input

Video input at the rear for an optional rear view camera. Image displays when reverse gear is engaged. Connect the REVERSE wire to the reverse lamp power supply.

External Monitor

Video out for connecting an external monitor for rear passengers. Select source via main menu and start playback.

Sound Settings

Audio Distribution (Fader/Balance)

Adjust sound distribution via the main menu or control bar by pressing [EQ], then [ ]. Adjust fader/balance with [ ] or reset with [ ]. Use [Loud] to increase bass at low volume.

Equalizer

Adjust the equalizer by pressing [ ] in the main menu or control bar. Select presets or use [User] to customize frequency bands. Reset custom settings with [ ].

General Settings

Access via [Settings] from the main menu.

General

  • Beep: Toggle confirmation beep on/off.
  • Back Camera Mute: Switch voice output on/off when reversing.
  • ON Volume: Set default volume level on startup.

Radio

  • Radio Region: Select reception region.
  • RDS: Toggle RDS function on/off.

Video

  • Aspect Ratio: Set display aspect ratio.
  • Parking Signal: Toggle parking detection on/off.
  • Camera Mirror: Invert rear camera image.

SWC (Steering Wheel Control)

Configure connected steering wheel controls.

Wallpaper

Select favorite wallpaper for the home menu.

Date and Time

  • Date: Set the date.
  • Clock Mode: Select 12/24-hour format.
  • Time: Set the time.

Display

  • Brightness: Adjust screen brightness.
  • Contrast: Adjust screen contrast.
  • Color: Adjust screen color.
  • [Reset]: Return to factory default settings.

Software Version

Displays current software version.

Load Factory Reset

Resets all personalized settings.

PhoneLINK

Connect Android and iOS smartphones via USB data cable to enjoy functions and applications on the in-dash radio. View images, play music, access contacts & apps, and check email/messages.

Digital Clock

Long press the home button to display the digital clock. Press the home button again to exit.

Phone Debugging Instructions (Android)

Follow these steps to enable USB debugging on your Android phone:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Navigate to About Phone.
  3. Tap Build Number 6-8 times until "Developer mode" is activated.
  4. Go back to Settings and find Developer Options.
  5. Turn on Developer Options.
  6. Switch on USB Debugging and confirm the message.

After completing these steps, connect the USB cable to the radio and mobile.

Connection Diagram

The rear panel of the device features various ports including Radio Antenna, GPS, MIC, AUX-V, USB, CAMERA, VIDEO OUT, SUBWOOFER, REVERSE, and SWC. The wiring harness provides connections for ACC, B+, GND, ILL, P.ANT, etc., with specific pin definitions (A1-A8, B1-B8).
