Anti-lockbrakesystem
IftheABSlightstaysilluminatedorcontinuestoflash,a malfunctionhasbeendetected.Contactyourauthorizeddealer assoonaspossible.Normalbrakingisstillfunctionalunlessthe brakewarninglightalsoisilluminated.
Brakesystem warninglight
Toconfirm thebrakesystem warninglightisfunctional,itwill momentarilyilluminatewhentheignitionisturnedtotheon positionwhentheengineisnotrunning,orinapositionbetween onandstart,orbyapplyingtheparkingbrakewhentheignitionisturned totheonposition.
Ifitilluminateswhenyouaredriving,checkthattheparkingbrakeisnot engaged.Iftheparkingbrakeisnotengaged,thisindicateslowbrake fluidlevelorabrakesystem malfunction.Havethesystem checked immediatelybyyourauthorizeddealer.

Serviceenginesoon
Theserviceenginesoonindicatorlightilluminateswhenthe ignitionisfirstturnedtotheonpositiontocheckthebulbandto indicatewhetherthevehicleisreadyforInspection/Maintenance (I/M)testing.Normally,the"serviceenginesoon"lightwillstayonuntil theengineiscranked,thenturnitselfoffifnomalfunctionsarepresent. However,ifafter15secondsthe"serviceenginesoon"lightblinkseight times,itmeansthatthevehicleisnotreadyforI/M testing.Seethe Readinessforinspection/maintenance(I/M)testingintheFueland Refuelingchapter.
Solidilluminationaftertheengineisstartedindicatestheon-board diagnosticssystem (OBD-II)hasdetectedamalfunction.Referto On-boarddiagnostics(OBD-II)intheFuelandRefuelingchapter. Ifthelightisblinking,enginemisfireisoccurringwhichcoulddamage yourcatalyticconverter.Driveinamoderatefashion(avoidheavy accelerationanddeceleration)andhaveyourvehicleserviced immediatelybyyourauthorizeddealer.

WARNING:Underenginemisfireconditions,excessiveexhaust temperaturescoulddamagethecatalyticconverter,thefuel system,interiorfloorcoveringsorothervehiclecomponents,possibly causingafire.
