Using the Remote Control

Key functions of the remote control:

Setting Up the TV

1. Fitting the Stand

Ensure the TV panel is facing downwards. For stand installation, one type of screw is provided. A cross-head screwdriver is required.

  1. Place the TV set on a flat, clean surface with the panel facing downwards to avoid damage.
  2. When the stand feet are installed correctly, they will be longest at the front of the TV and shortest at the back, pointing away from each other.
  3. Secure the feet to the underside of the TV set using the 4 provided screws.

2. Connecting Your Set

  1. Connect the TV to your power socket.
  2. To receive Freeview/Saorview channels, connect the RF input from the TV to your outdoor Digital TV aerial. Skip this step if not required.
  3. Connect to the internet. An Ethernet connection provides the most stable connection.

Refer to the "Connectivity" section for detailed connection information.

3. Wall Mounting the TV

For VESA mounting dimensions, refer to the Technical Specifications section. The process involves:

  1. Removing the four screws from the wall mounting holes on the rear of the TV.
  2. Attaching the wall mount to the mounting holes.
  3. Installing the wall mounting bracket as advised by the bracket manufacturer. (Note: Spacers may be shown in diagrams but are not applicable to all installations.)

4. First Time Installation

Basic installation steps are shown below. These may vary slightly by model. Due to Android software updates, the TV start-up procedure and menus may change.

When the TV first turns on, it will prompt you to select your preferred on-screen display language, which changes the language for menus and information.

Android Phone Users: During setup, you will be prompted to sign in to your Google account using the pre-installed "Google" app. Ensure you have your account details ready.

5. Pairing the Remote

If the remote was not paired during the first-time installation, follow these steps:

  1. Turn the set on.
  2. Press the [Google Assistant Button] on the remote control. The LED indicator will illuminate, and the pairing screen will appear on the TV.
  3. Press and hold the "Left" and "Home" buttons on the remote simultaneously.
  4. The LED indicator will flash.
  5. Select the detected remote control on the screen and press OK.
  6. Once paired, the pairing screen will disappear.

This process is only needed if the remote is not paired. Once paired, pressing the [Google Assistant Button] will open the Google Assistant screen and activate voice functionality.

6. Using the Google Assistant

Remote controls with Google Assistant have a dedicated button and a built-in microphone. To use this feature:

  1. Ensure the remote is paired (follow step 5).
  2. Press the [Google Assistant Button]. The LED indicator will illuminate.
  3. Wait for the on-screen message, then speak into the microphone (position it 15-30 cm from your mouth).

You can search for content or control connected smart home devices. Speech examples may be displayed on the television screen.
