Read this important information firstBattery
The battery in your watch is installed at the factory and should be replaced immediately when its power shows signs of depletion (e.g., backlight does not turn on, display is dim) by your nearest CASIO dealer or distributor.
Water Resistance
Watches are classified by levels (from I to V) according to their degree of water resistance. Check your watch's level using the table below for proper operation.
Level | Marking on Case | Splash, Rain, etc. | Swimming, Machine Washing, etc. | Diving, Scuba Diving, etc. | Diving with SCUBA |
---|
I | - | No | No | No | No |
II | WATER RESISTANT | Yes | No | No | No |
III | 50M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | No | No |
IV | 100M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |
V | 200M WATER RESISTANT 300M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Notes for corresponding sections:
- The watch is not water resistant. Avoid contact with any moisture.
- Do not pull out the crown if the watch is wet.
- Do not press watch buttons underwater.
- If the watch is exposed to saltwater, rinse it thoroughly and dry it.
- The watch can be used for SCUBA diving (except for depths requiring a helium-oxygen mixture).
A feature of some water-resistant watches is the presence of leather straps. Do not wear these watches while swimming or engaging in any other activity where the strap may be submerged in water.
Care for Your Watch
- Never attempt to open the case and remove the back cover.
- The rubber gasket protecting the watch from water and dust should be replaced every 2-3 years.
- If moisture gets inside the watch, have it checked immediately by your nearest CASIO dealer or distributor.
- Do not expose the watch to extreme temperatures.
- Although the watch is designed for normal use, avoid rough handling and do not drop it.
- Do not fasten the strap too tightly. A finger should fit between your wrist and the strap.
- To clean the watch and strap, use a dry soft cloth or a soft cloth dampened with a mild neutral detergent solution. Never use volatile substances (e.g., gasoline, solvents, spray cleaners, etc.).
- When not using your watch, store it in a dry place.
- Avoid contact with gasoline, cleaning solvents, spray aerosols, adhesives, paint, etc. Chemical reactions caused by these materials can damage gaskets and watch polish.
- Some watch models feature silk-screened designs on their straps. Be careful when cleaning such straps to avoid damaging the designs.
For watches with plastic straps...
- You may notice a white powdery substance on the strap. This substance is harmless to your skin or clothing and can be easily removed by wiping with a cloth.
- Exposure of a plastic strap to sweat or moisture, or storage in high humidity conditions, can lead to damage, tearing, or cracking. To ensure a long service life for the plastic strap, wipe it clean of dirt and water with a soft cloth whenever possible.
For watches with fluorescent cases and straps...
- Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the fluorescent color to fade gradually.
- Prolonged contact with moisture can cause the fluorescent color to fade gradually. If any moisture gets on the watch surface, wipe it off as soon as possible.
- Prolonged contact with any other wet surface can cause the fluorescent color to discolor. Ensure the fluorescent surface is free of moisture and avoid contact with other surfaces.
- Strong friction of a surface with applied fluorescent paint against another surface may transfer the fluorescent paint to that surface.
CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. is not responsible for any damage that may occur during the use of this watch, nor does it accept any claims from third parties.

Backlight
- The backlight of this watch uses electroluminescent (EL) elements, whose brightness decreases after prolonged use.
- When the display is illuminated, the watch emits an audible signal. This is because the backlight elements vibrate, and it is not an indication of a watch malfunction.
- The backlight is difficult to see if direct sunlight falls on the watch.
- Frequent use of the backlight shortens battery life.
ALARM MODE
When the set time is reached, the alarm will sound for 20 seconds. If the hourly chime mode is enabled, a short beep will sound at the start of each hour.
