Quick Start Guide
Look for the packet labeled "Modular Configuration Guide" within the 'BASE KIT' box. Find your layout in the packet and ensure you have received the correct number of boxes and contents to build your specific layout.
- First, locate the "Assembly and Installation" instructions for building your 'BASE KIT' within this base kit box.
- a) Measure your space to confirm the complete closet design will fit.
- b) Install the 'Base Kit' at the furthest left side of your closet space.
- c) Note: At this stage, install only the hang track and vertical rails. Save the brackets, shelves, closet rods, and decorative covers for later installation steps.
- Next, install the hang track and vertical rails from the 'Extension' box(s) if your layout includes extensions. Save the brackets, shelves, closet rods, and decorative covers for later installation steps.
- Now install the brackets, shelves, and closet rods from the base kit and extension boxes at the desired locations.
- Next, install components from the 'Add-On' box(s) if your layout includes add-ons.
- Finally, complete the closet by installing the decorative hang track covers, vertical rail covers, and shelf covers.

Pre-installation
PLANNING INSTALLATION
- Measure the closet width and plan the layout. Refer to the "Plan Your Closet Layout" section for illustration examples.
- Select the correct hardware for assembly. Refer to the "Choose Your Hardware" section below.
- Use a stud finder to locate and mark studs. Mounting hang tracks onto studs is recommended.
- For larger layouts requiring multiple hang tracks, install this kit's hang track first, then install additional hang track extensions, ensuring they are level and aligned with previously mounted hang tracks.

DRYWALL
Drill a 1/2 in. hole in the drywall. If a stud is encountered during drilling, use the stud hardware/instructions for that location.

Insert bolt through hang track (or vertical rail/vertical rail joiner), then screw on toggle (DD). Install toggles (DD) in each hole of the component before attaching it to the wall. Compress and pass the toggle (DD) through the drilled hole.

Allow the toggle (DD) to spring apart behind the drywall. Screw the bolt (CC) until tight to secure. If the toggle (DD) spins behind the wall, pull back on the screw head for tension. Install toggles (DD) in each hole of components before attaching to the wall.

Plan Your Closet Layout
When planning your installation, measure the dimensions of your installation location. For specific designs, refer to a separate Modular Closet System Configuration Guide.

Installation
1 Install Hang Track
- Use a stud finder to locate and mark your studs if installing on drywall.
- Place the longest hang track (C) flush against the wall. The bottom of the track should be 84 inches off the ground. The thicker side should be on top, closest to the ceiling.
- TIP: When creating larger closet layouts with multiple hang tracks, install this kit's hang track first, positioned to the far-left of your planned closet design. Additional shorter hang tracks will be installed sequentially to the right.
- Ensure the track is level and mark each screw hole on the wall. At least one hole should align with a stud.
- Use the correct hardware to secure the hang track and tighten (refer to "Choose Your Hardware" in the Pre-installation section).
- Repeat the above steps for adding remaining hang tracks (J). Ensure the next shorter hang tracks (J) are installed level and flush with the previously installed hang track (C).
WARNING: Before cutting, drilling, or hammering into any wall, verify the location of electrical, plumbing, and gas lines. Cutting may cause serious injury.

2 Install Upper Vertical Rails
- Ensure all vertical rails from the 'Base Kit' box have already been installed before proceeding.
- Install additional upper vertical rails (A) from the 'Extension Kit' boxes onto the hang track (C) in the same manner as previously installed from the 'Base Kit' (see Fig. 1).
- Use the provided spacer (P) to align the next vertical rail (A) with previously installed vertical rails. It is CRITICAL to install vertical rails at the correct 24-inch on-center spacing using this spacer (P) as a guide for the system to function correctly (see Fig. 3).
- Use a level to ensure the upper vertical rail (A) assembly is vertically straight (plumb) and secure it using the screw holes in the vertical rail with appropriate hardware (see Fig. 2).
- Repeat the above process to install the remaining upper vertical rails.
Fig. 1 shows an upper vertical rail (A) slotting into a hang track (C). Fig. 2 illustrates using a level to ensure the vertical rail is plumb and securing it with screws. Fig. 3 shows the vertical rail spacer (P) used for alignment. Fig. 4 shows the spacer.
STOP If creating a larger kit (which ships in several boxes), install all hang tracks and vertical rails from 'EXTENSION' boxes BEFORE installing any brackets, shelves, or decorative covers in subsequent steps.

3 Install Vertical Rail Joiners and Lower Vertical Rails
SCENARIO 1: STUD
- Push vertical rail joiner (I) up into the upper vertical rail (A) as shown. Secure the vertical rail joiner (I) on hole B with a panhead screw (#12 x 2 in.) (see Fig. 5).
- Position the lower vertical rail (B) as shown and secure it on holes C and D with a panhead screw (#12 x 2 in.) (see Fig. 6).
- Use the remaining screw holes in the lower vertical rail (B) to secure it to the wall with appropriate hardware, similar to how the upper vertical rail (A) was installed (see Fig. 7).
- Use the provided spacer (P) to align the next lower vertical rail. It is CRITICAL to install vertical rails at the correct spacing using the spacer (P) for the system to function correctly.
- Repeat the above process to install the remaining vertical rail joiners and lower vertical rails.
Fig. 5 shows inserting a vertical rail joiner (I) into an upper vertical rail (A) and securing it with a screw at hole B. Fig. 6 shows attaching a lower vertical rail (B) to holes C and D. Fig. 7 illustrates securing the lower vertical rail (B) to the wall using remaining holes.
SCENARIO 2: CONCRETE
- Tear the drilling template box (P) according to the dashed line (see Fig. 8).
- Align the drilling template box (P) as a locator on the wall and mark the holes (see Fig. 9).
- Drill 1/4 in. holes and insert wall anchors (1/4 in.) into holes B, C, and D (see Fig. 10).
- Push vertical rail joiner (I) up into the upper vertical rail (A) as shown. Secure the vertical rail joiner (I) on hole B with a panhead screw (#12 x 2 in.) (see Fig. 11).
- Position the lower vertical rail (B) as shown and secure it on holes C and D with a panhead screw (#12 x 2 in.) (see Fig. 12).
- Use the remaining screw holes in the lower vertical rail (B) to secure it to the wall with appropriate hardware, similar to how the upper vertical rail (A) was installed (see Fig. 13).
- Use the provided spacer (P) to align the next lower vertical rail (B). It is CRITICAL to install vertical rails at the correct spacing using the spacer (P) for the system to function correctly.
- Repeat the above process to install the remaining vertical rail joiners and lower vertical rails.
Fig. 8 shows tearing a drilling template box (P). Fig. 9 shows aligning the template and marking holes. Fig. 10 shows drilling holes and inserting anchors. Fig. 11 shows attaching the joiner (I) to the upper rail (A). Fig. 12 shows attaching the lower rail (B) to holes C and D. Fig. 13 illustrates securing the lower rail (B) to the wall.
SCENARIO 3: DRYWALL
- Tear the drilling template box (K) according to the dashed line (see Fig. 13).
- Align the drilling template box (K) as a locator on the wall and mark the holes (see Fig. 14).
- Drill 1/4 in. holes for holes B and C, and drill a 1/2 in. hole for hole D. Insert wall anchors (1/4 in.) into holes B and C (see Fig. 15).
- Push vertical rail joiner (I) up into the upper vertical rail (A) as shown. Secure the vertical rail joiner (I) on hole B with a panhead screw (#12 x 2 in.) (see Fig. 16).
- Position the lower vertical rail (B) as shown and secure it on hole C with a panhead screw (#12 x 2 in.) and on hole D with a toggle (3/16 in.) and bolt (3 in.) (see Fig. 17). Ensure the toggle (3/16 in.) and bolt (3 in.) are installed on the lower vertical rail (B) before securing.
- Use the remaining screw holes in the lower vertical rail (B) to secure it to the wall with appropriate hardware, similar to how the upper vertical rail (A) was installed (see Fig. 18).
- Use the provided spacer (P) to align the next lower vertical rail (B). It is CRITICAL to install vertical rails at the correct spacing using the spacer (P) for the system to function correctly.
- Repeat the above process to install the remaining vertical rail joiners and lower vertical rails.
Fig. 13 shows tearing a drilling template box (K). Fig. 14 shows aligning the template and marking holes. Fig. 15 shows drilling holes and inserting anchors. Fig. 16 shows attaching the joiner (I) to the upper rail (A). Fig. 17 shows attaching the lower rail (B) to holes C and D with a screw and toggle/bolt. Fig. 18 illustrates securing the lower rail (B) to the wall.

4 Install Brackets
- Insert shelf brackets (H) into the vertical rails (A - B).
- Insert the back tabs of the bracket into the vertical rail slots at the desired position.
- Pull down on the front of the bracket to ensure it is locked in place.
- Ensure shelf brackets are inserted at the same height on the vertical rails so the shelf will be level once installed.

5 Install Shelves
- Ensure your shelves (G) fit your closet layout design.
- Hold the shelf's (G) front rod and fit it into the bracket's (H) front notches as shown in the diagram. Then, push down the shelf's rear part, allowing the shelf's rear horizontal rod to lock into the back clip of the bracket.

NOTE: The bracket is designed to be shared by two shelves in the system. Each end of a shelf will utilize half of the bracket.
6 Install Closet Rod Brackets and Closet Rod
- Count 6 rods or more from one side of the wire shelf and install closet rod brackets as shown. The maximum spacing between closet rod brackets should be 18 inches for this system (see Fig. 20).
- Position the closet rod support bracket (M) at an angle as shown and place the back part onto the horizontal rod (B) (see Fig. 21).
- Pull down the closet rod support bracket (M) and snap it onto the shelf's front rod (C) (see Fig. 21 and Fig. 22).
NOTE: Closet rod brackets must be installed BEFORE any decorative shelf covers are placed on the shelf.
Fig. 20 shows closet rod brackets being installed with a maximum spacing of 18 inches. Fig. 21 and Fig. 22 illustrate how to attach the closet rod support bracket (M) to the closet rod (L) and then clip it onto the shelf rod (C).
7 Install Closet Rod End Caps
- Measure the length of the closet rod assembly needed based on your closet layout.
- Push end caps (N) into both ends of the closet rod (L) (see Fig. 9).
- Position the closet rod assembly at the desired location and snap it into the closet rod brackets (M) (see Fig. 10 and Fig. 11).
NOTE: Ensure joiner assembly (if required by your layout) is completed before adding end caps to the finished ends of the closet rod.
STOP If creating a larger kit (shipping in multiple boxes), install all brackets, shelves, and closet rods from each box BEFORE installing decorative hang track covers and vertical rail covers in the following steps.
Fig. 9 shows end caps (N) being inserted into a closet rod (L). Fig. 10 and Fig. 11 show the assembled closet rod being snapped into brackets (M).
8 Install Hang Track Covers
- Place the hang track cover (D/K) with the indicated direction and push to snap and lock. Slide from left to right to ensure the entire cover is secured.
- Ensure the longer hang track cover (D) is placed on the longer hang track (C).

9 Install Vertical Rail Covers
- Measure the open areas of the vertical rail. This includes the space from the bottom of the hang track cover to the top of shelves, the bottom of shelf brackets to the top of shelves, and the bottom of brackets to the end of vertical rails, etc.
- Cut the vertical rail cover (E-F) to your desired length using a hacksaw.
- Push and press one end of the vertical rail cover (E-F) onto the rail to lock it. Press and move the other end to ensure the entire vertical rail cover is securely in place.
NOTE: For safety, wear safety gloves and goggles, and strictly follow the instructions for using your hacksaw during cutting.

Care and Cleaning
The Everbilt closet organizer has a powder-coated finish. Clean using the following steps:
- To remove dust, stains, or other deposits: Use a soft cloth or soft brush with a diluted solution of warm water and a mild detergent (like liquid dishwashing detergent). DO NOT use solvents.
- Rinse the surface(s) thoroughly with clean fresh water after cleaning to remove all residue.
- Dry the surface(s) thoroughly before reuse.

- PLACE A DÉCOR SHELF COVER (A) ONTO WIRE SHELF AND PUSH ALL THE WAY TO THE REAR SO THAT THE FRONT LIP OF THE COVER IS FLUSH AGAINST THE FRONT LIP OF THE WIRE SHELF. SNAP DOWN REAR OF THE DÉCOR SHELF COVER (A) OVER BACK OF THE BRACKET AT EACH INTERSECTION WITH VERTICAL RAILS.
