Product Instruction
Signal Strength Indicator
The signal strength is indicated by LEDs:
- Red LED: Weak signal
- Blue LED: Medium signal
- Green LED: Strong signal
Work LED
The work LED indicates the device status.
Battery
The camera uses an 18650 battery.
Controls
- Power ON/OFF Switch: Toggles the power.
- Reset Button: Press and hold for 3 seconds to enter reset pairing state (indicated by flashing blue light and a prompt tone).
- SIM Slot: For inserting the SIM card.
Status Indicators
- Status Indicator: Lights red when powered on. Blue light is always on when ready to add the device via scanning.
- Charging Indicator: Green light is always on during charging and turns off when fully charged.
Application Description
1. APP INSTALLATION
Scan the provided QR code or search for "UCon" on the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) to download and install the application.
2. APP REGISTRATION
- Open the app and enter your email address, then press 'Register'. Agree to the terms and conditions to receive a verification code via email. It is recommended to allow all permissions for optimal app performance and notifications.
- Set a login password (minimum 8 characters with a mix of letters and numbers) and confirm it. Press 'Register' to proceed.
- Check your email for a verification link and click it to complete the registration.
- Enter your email address and password to log in. The app may auto-fill account information.
3. CONNECTION
- Press 'Add Location' and set the room or position as prompted.
- Enter your family name and press 'Next'.
- Input necessary information such as Country and Province, then press 'Done'.
- Press 'Add a device' to add a smart device.
- Insert the SIM card and battery into the device. For some models, the antenna also needs to be installed.
- After powering on the device, wait approximately 1 minute for the blue LED to light up, then press 'Next'.
- If the device's blue LED does not light up, check the setup notes regarding APN and network attachment.
- Find the UID QR code on the camera and scan it using the app.
- The app will search for the device online, which may take 5-60 seconds.
- Select the device name and location, then press 'Done'.
- The device will automatically appear in the device list upon successful setup.
- Notes about PIR detection: The detection distance can be adjusted by changing the PIR sensitivity: Low (up to 9 meters), Medium (up to 14 meters), High (up to 20 meters).
4. USING THE APP
Device List
The app displays a list of connected devices. You can:
- Turn device notifications on/off.
- Access settings for sharing, cloud storage, and device deletion.
Video/Photo Mode Switch
Switch between video and photo modes.
Live View
Press to enter the preview section for live viewing.
Adding Devices
Press the button to add a smart device.
Account Management
Access account settings, including changing passwords, managing cloud storage, adding friends, setting default voice and resolution, and configuring push settings (auto-run management, permissions, battery management, call acceptance). You can also check network signal strength and app version.
Playback
Click the calendar icon in the top right corner to select a date and playback videos or pictures from cloud storage or the TF card.
Device Settings
Basic device settings can be configured, including:
- Storage management
- Flip screen
- Environmental model
- PIR detection sensitivity
- Sleep time
- Power frequency
- LED indicator status
- Device name
Device information such as Device Name, Device ID, Model, FW Version, Manufacturer, and FW updates can also be checked.
Microphone
Use the microphone feature to speak to the device.
