The All-New Duster: A New Chapter in an Iconic Story

Dacia is proud to present the 3rd generation Duster, the next evolution of its iconic best-seller. The All-New Duster boasts a tougher and more assertive design, enhanced by the CMF-B platform for an improved in-car experience. The 4x4 version offers new heights in off-road capability, while new sustainable materials and hybrid powertrains underscore Dacia's commitment to eco-smart driving. Packed with new technologies, the All-New Duster aims to increase safety and comfort, all while remaining the family SUV that offers the best value for money in its category.

Since its inception in 2010, Duster has been a success story, earning over 40 awards and reaching 2.2 million units produced. In 2022, it was Europe's best-selling SUV across all segments in the retail market. Approximately 1,000 Duster SUVs are produced daily at Dacia's plant in Pitesti, Romania.

Stronger and More Assertive Design

David Durand, Dacia Design Director, emphasizes the focus on proportions to achieve a strong, balanced posture. The design philosophy of "All the essentials, no artifices" is evident in the All-New Duster's clean volumes, taut lines, and self-confident stance. Key design elements include a sharp, vertical face, chamfered wheel-arch guards, and a seamless flow from the front to the rear. The vehicle is further protected by a stylish belt that wraps around the body, connecting side underbody shields, wheel-arch guards, and bumpers for a more robust and outdoor appearance.

The front and rear skid plates are dyed in the mass, meaning scratches and scuffs will not alter their original color, offering an environmentally friendly and durable solution. The side underbody shields, wheel-arch guards, and other exterior elements are made from Starkle®, a new material developed by Dacia's engineers and LyondellBasell, incorporating up to 20% recycled material. This material's composition includes white particles that give it a mottled look, which Dacia has chosen to showcase rather than cover with paint.

The interior design is equally consistent, featuring a high, vertical dashboard and air vents that echo the wheel arches. Ergonomics have been a key focus, including a 10.1-inch central screen positioned for optimal driver visibility and a 10° angle. The new automatic transmission shifter, paired with the HYBRID 140 engine, is designed for ease of use, and the steering wheel's flattened surfaces enhance comfort.

A signature Y-shaped design element links the interior and exterior. This Y-shape is visible on the air vents, door-panel armrests, headlamps, rear lamps, and alloy rims. The brand name on the steering wheel has been replaced with the Dacia logo.

The CMF-B Platform Boosts Performance

The All-New Duster is built on the CMF-B platform, a versatile and competitive base that enhances passenger and luggage space. This platform's advanced engineering reduces vibration and noise, improving driver comfort and the overall driving experience. It also accommodates mild-hybrid and full-hybrid powertrains, paving the way for Dacia's electrification strategy.

Patrice Lévy Bencheton, Dacia VP Product Performance, highlights the CMF-B platform as a key asset for Dacia's current and future lineup, enabling high-efficiency powertrains and enhanced performance while retaining the brand's appeal and accessibility.

Robust and Outdoor: All-New Duster is Bolder Than Ever

The All-New Duster offers unparalleled off-road capabilities for the non-expert 4x4 market. The 4x4 version features Terrain Control transmission with five driving modes: AUTO, SNOW, MUD/SAND, OFF-ROAD, and ECO. These modes optimize vehicle performance and efficiency based on driving conditions.

The All-New Duster boasts a ground clearance of 217 mm (between axles) in the 4x4 version, the highest in its class. It also features impressive approach (up to 31°) and departure (up to 36°) angles, along with a 24° ventral angle, enabling it to tackle challenging terrain. Downhill speed control assists in maintaining a steady speed on steep slopes by automatically applying the brakes.

During off-road driving, the 10.1-inch central screen can display useful information such as lateral tilt, uphill/downhill pitch, and torque distribution.

Extra-Heavy-Duty Shielding and Materials

The exterior is protected from light bumps and scratches by flank shields, wheel-arch guards, and front and rear bumpers, forming a protective belt. Large skid plates under the bumpers safeguard the underbody. The interior features a heavy-duty cabin, especially in the Extreme trim, with washable TEP MicroCloud upholstery and 20% recycled rubber mats in the front, rear, and boot.

The front and rear skid plates are dyed in the mass, ensuring color integrity even with scrapes and scratches. Shields around the car are made of Starkle®, a non-painted material that resists conspicuous marks from scrapes and scratches.

Dacia's new InNature accessories include the Sleep Pack, a removable 3-in-1 box that converts into a double bed, a tray table, and storage space. The new roof rack is designed for outdoor activities and attaches easily to modular roof bars.

Eco-Smart: More Sustainable and As Affordable As Ever

The All-New Duster offers an affordable and more sustainable driving experience with new hybrid powertrains and recycled materials.

New Hybrid Powertrains

• Duster HYBRID 140: Features a 4-cylinder, 1.6-litre, 94 hp petrol engine, two electric motors, and an electric automatic gearbox. It allows for up to 80% electric mode driving in cities, reducing consumption by 20% (mixed cycle) to 40% (urban cycle).
• Duster TCe 130: Combines a 3-cylinder, 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a 48V mild-hybrid system. This system aids the engine during acceleration, reducing consumption and CO2 emissions by approximately 10%.
• Duster ECO-G 100: Offers a dual-fuel (petrol and LPG) option, releasing 10% less CO2 than a comparable petrol engine. It has a combined range of up to 1,300 km with its 100-litre tanks.

More Sustainable Materials

Dacia utilizes Starkle®, a new material invented by Dacia's engineers, for the All-New Duster. Starkle® contains up to 20% reused polypropylene and is paint-free, reducing the carbon footprint. It is used for side underbody shields, wheel-arch guards, and other exterior elements. The front and rear skid plates are made with a dyed-in-the-mass material, further limiting paint usage.

Approximately 20% of the plastic used in the All-New Duster is recycled, a significant increase from the previous generation. Dacia has also eliminated decorative chrome and leather of animal origin from its models for environmental reasons. The user manual is now smaller, with the full version available online via the My Dacia app.

Value for Money Still Unrivalled on the Market

The All-New Duster continues Dacia's commitment to value for money, offering affordable prices and a larger passenger compartment. It features new technology, including a 7-inch digital cluster, a 10.1-inch central touchscreen, and an updated infotainment system. The All-New Duster also includes modular roof bars and the Dacia YouClip accessory system.

A More Digital and More Connected Cockpit

The new infotainment system features a 10.1-inch central touchscreen, available with two multimedia systems: Media Display and Media Nav Live.

• Media Display: Standard on Expression and Extreme trims, includes four speakers and wireless Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ connectivity.
• Media Nav Live: Standard on Journey trims and optional on Extreme & Expression, includes a connected navigation system with real-time traffic updates and 8 years of cartography updates. It also features a six-speaker Arkamys 3D Sound System.

Media Control, available on the Essential trim, allows control of infotainment features via steering wheel switches and displays information on a 3.5-inch screen within the analog cluster. It includes four speakers, Bluetooth, a USB port, and a smartphone holder. The Dacia Media Control free app enables smartphone control of various features.

Native connectivity complies with new European GSR2 regulations, with FOTA (Firmware Over The Air) enabling remote updates. The new 7-inch customizable color digital cluster displays essential driver information and is standard on Expression and higher trims.

All trim levels feature a dedicated phone slot. Versions with Media Display and Media Nav Live include a YouClip smartphone holder and multiple USB C sockets for charging devices.

New Driving Assistance Systems

Cruise control/Speed limiter is standard from the Essential trim. Automatic low-beam headlights are available in all trims, with automatic switching between low and high beams standard on Extreme and Journey models. New driving assistance systems include automatic emergency braking, traffic sign recognition, speeding alert, rear parking assist, emergency stop signal, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, driver attention alert, and emergency calls (eCall). The "My Safety" button allows quick access to preferred driving assistance configurations.

Optimized Comfort

The All-New Duster offers a more spacious cabin, with increased width at the front and legroom at the back (+30 mm). The boot floor is lower, and the boot opening is wider and higher, providing up to 6% more space, totaling 472 litres VDA (for the 4x2 All-New Duster).

Amenities include an electric parking brake (standard on Journey, optional on Extreme), electric adjusting and folding side mirrors, a heated steering wheel, and a de-icing system for the windscreen (in some countries).

The Dacia YouClip system provides practical attachment points in the cabin for accessories like tablet holders, storage pouches, and smartphone holders. The 3-in-1 accessory includes a cupholder, bag hook, and nomadic lamp.

A Simple Range with Everything You Want

The All-New Duster line-up offers three tiers: Essential, Expression, and the new superior trims, Extreme and Journey. The Extreme trim is for outdoor enthusiasts, while the Journey trim focuses on elegance, comfort, and technology.
