Operation Instructions

  • Press the ON/OFF button to turn the lights ON
  • Press the button again to turn the lights OFF
  • Pull the air gap switch to disconnect power to the load

Advanced Features

Delayed Off

This feature is used if you need extra time to exit prior to the lights turning off. It will delay turning the lights off for 10 seconds allowing for a safe, convenient exit.

  • When the lights are ON, press and hold the ON/OFF button for 2 seconds.
  • The device will then wait 10 seconds before turning the lights OFF.
  • During this time, the LED indicator bar will blink white until the lights turn OFF.
  • At this point, you can press the ON/OFF button to override the times and turn OFF the lights immediately.

Quick Max

This feature is used when you need the lights to come on quickly at maximum brightness. The devices will instantly turn on at its maximum brightness level instead of its preset level.

  • When the lights are OFF, press and hold the ON/OFF button for 2 seconds.
  • The devices will then instantly turn on at its maximum brightness level.

Factory Reset

The dimmer can be reset to its factory default settings. This includes removing all Wi-Fi and user registration credentials as well as returning all configuration settings to their default value.

  • Press and hold the PRIVACY button for 30 seconds. Upon successful completion, the LED indicator bar will slowly fade in and out orange to indicate the device is now unregistered and ready to be setup again.

Advanced Configuration Settings

How to activate Configuration Mode and adjust Configuration Settings

  1. You can enter Configuration Mode by long-pressing the PRIVACY button for five (5) seconds. The LED indicator bar will flash GREEN twice to indicate that you are in Configuration Selection Mode.
  2. Press the BRIGHTEN and DIM buttons to cycle through the various configuration settings as indicated in the table below by looking at the position of the ORANGE light on the LED indicator bar.
  3. Once the appropriate setting is selected, press the JUST ASK ALEXA button to edit that configuration setting, or if you want to exit Configuration Mode, press the PRIVACY button to return to normal operation.
  4. Once you are in Configuration Edit Mode, the LED indicator bar will turn WHITE. Then follow the appropriate instructions in the descriptions below to edit that particular setting.
  5. Once you are finished adjusting the setting, press the JUST ASK ALEXA button to SAVE that setting (LED indicator bar will flash GREEN twice to indicate success) and return to normal operation, or press the PRIVACY button to CANCEL the change and return to Configuration Selection Mode (step 2). Press the PRIVACY button again if you want to CANCEL all changes and return to normal operation.

NOTE: Configuration Mode will timeout if there is no interaction for 30 seconds. After a timeout, all changes will be cancelled, the LED indicator bar will flash RED twice, and the device will return to normal operation.

Configuration Setting Descriptions

Max Brightness Level

This indicates the brightness you would like your lights to be at when the dimmer is at its maximum level. You may want to lower this setting to gain energy savings by reducing your lighting load. This is sometimes referred to as "high trim level".

When editing this setting, your lights will adjust in real time and the LED indicator bar will indicate the current output dimming level. You can fine tune the exact brightness level you desire for this setting.

NOTE: The Max Brightness Level setting cannot be lower than the Min Brightness Level setting.

Min Brightness Level

This indicates the brightness you would like your lights to be at when the dimmer is at its minimum level. You may want to increase this setting in order to reduce flickering that sometimes occurs at low dim levels for some bulbs. This is sometimes referred to as "low trim level".

When editing this setting, your lights will adjust in real time and the LED indicator bar will indicate the current output dimming level. You can fine tune the exact brightness level you desire for this setting.

NOTE: The Min Brightness Level setting cannot be higher than the Max Brightness Level setting.

Power Up State

This feature allows the user to change the Power Up State of the voice dimmer when the power is restored after an outage.

LED Indicator Bar Brightness

This indicates how bright you want your LED indicator bar indicator to be. You may want to adjust this setting if you feel the LED indicator bar is too bright in a dark room or if you want it brighter to see better. As you adjust this setting, the LED indicator bar will change its brightness in real time to reflect its value.

Ramp Rate Time

This indicates how quickly you want your lights to brighten or dim when pressing the ON/OFF button. You may want to adjust this setting if you prefer your lights to come on quickly or have a soft feel with a gradual fade.
