This product is safety listed for damp locations. Incandescent version may be dimmed with a standard incandescent dimmer. LED version may be dimmed with a LED dimmer. Consult lamp manufacturer for additional information. This instruction shows a typical installation. Visual Comfort & Co. reserves the right to change specifications for product improvements without notification. 7400 Linder Ave., Skokie, IL 60077 T 847.410.4400 | F 847.410.4500 www.generationlighting.com Install the Fixture 1A JUNCTION BOX 10 8 9 2 2 1 THREADED NIPPLE SCREW COLLAR 3 COLLAR NUT 11 CHAIN FIXTURE LOOP STEM 6 5 5 MOUNTING PLATE CANOPY LAMP 14 CANDLE TUBE 13 SOCKET 12 CUP FINIAL 1 Screw the shorter end of the threaded nipple tightly onto the mounting plate. 2 Secure the mounting plate to the junction box. 3 Temporarily unscrew and remove the collar nut and screw the screw collar tightly onto the threaded nipple. 4 Determine the wanted height of the fixture and remove a portion of the chain by opening a link and removing it from the bottom. 5 Screw the stem onto the fixture loop, feed the fixture wires through the stem/fixture loop assembly and screw it onto the fixture. 6 Install the collar nut and canopy onto the chain (in that order), then install the open link onto the fixture loop and secure it in place by closing the link. 7 Weave the cord through the chain, screw collar, canopy, threaded nipple, and out of the junction box. Trim the cord leaving enough to make electrical connections. 8 Connect the fixture to a suitable ground in accordance to local electrical codes. 9 Connect the white fixture wire (square and/or rigid) to the neutral power line wire with a wire nut. 10 Connect the black fixture wire (round and/or smooth) to the hot power line wire with a wire nut. 11 Neatly place all the wires into the junction box, place the canopy onto the ceiling, and secure it in place by screwing the collar nut tightly onto the screw collar. 12 Install the lower cup onto the fixture and secure it in place by screwing in the finial. 13 Install the candle tubes by sliding them over the sockets. 14 Screw the lamps into the sockets. Refer to the label on the socket for Max Wattage information. 2
