Introduction
This manual covers the User Interface (UI) and functions of the Eddict Player application. It guides users on how to utilize the app to its full potential, especially in conjunction with compatible audio products.
Application Overview
Eddict Player is a professional Hi-Fi lossless music player designed for enthusiasts. It supports a wide range of audio formats and provides comprehensive song classification, management, sorting, and playback capabilities for both internal and external device storage. The Eddict Player app can also function as a wireless controller and companion application for various devices from brands such as Shanling, YBA, ONIX, and Myryad.
Key Features:
- Support for a wide range of audio formats and Hi-Res audio: APE, DSD (DSF, DFF, DST), ISO, WAV, FLAC, AiFF, M4A, AAC, WMA, MP3, OGG.
- Library browsing organized by Album, Artist, Genre, and Hi-Res content.
- Folder-based browsing for easy navigation.
- Support for creating and managing playlists, including import and export of user-created playlists.
- Lyrics display support (requires separate .lrc files).
- Connectivity features: Wi-Fi File Transfer, SyncLink, Wireless Projection.
- Network streaming support: DLNA, AirPlay, NAS.
- Remote control and playback of songs on mobile phones or other devices via UPnP.
Usage Instructions
Registration & Login
1. Download the Eddict Player app from your device's official app store or the manufacturer's website.
2. Upon opening the app, tap the side menu icon (usually top-left), then select 'Login'. Enter your mobile number, password, and obtain a verification code to register. After successful registration, return to the login screen to log in.
3. User profile details such as avatar, nickname, and password can be modified within the 'User Center' (refer to Figure 1).

Lossless Music
Music File Decoding and Transfer
1. The app supports decoding of all lossless music formats, including APE, DSD (DSF, DFF, DST), ISO, WAV, FLAC, AiFF, M4A, as well as AAC, WMA, MP3, and OGG.
2. For iOS devices, copy music files to the correct location using iTunes or Wi-Fi file transfer. For Android devices, the app will automatically load any files stored on your device.
Music Playback
1. After scanning for music, tap 'Local Music' to begin playback.
2. You can also find and play songs by navigating to the 'Folder' option within 'Local Music'.
Classification & Interface
Classification
The local music library supports sorting by all songs, folders, albums, artists, and genres. Within the song browsing list, you can add songs to the playback queue, view song information, and more. Access the main app interface to view local music, playlists, and recently played items.
Playback Interface
The playback screen supports displaying album cover art and lyrics (requires a separate .lrc file). Swipe left to view lyrics or song information. You can quickly add songs to favorites, playlists, or adjust EQ settings. Additional functions are accessible by tapping the three-dot menu icon.
Cloud Services
HiFi Cloud Library & Spotify
1. Access cloud services like the HiFi Cloud Library and Spotify by navigating to the left-side menu on the app's main screen.
2. Tapping 'Cloud Services' allows you to log in with your registered account to enjoy online, legitimate lossless music playback (requires a membership, obtainable via redemption or purchase). This feature also includes built-in Spotify streaming music services (refer to Figure 2).

Sony Hi-Res Music
1. The Sony Hi-Res Music service can be accessed via the left-side menu in the app by selecting 'Sony Hi-Res Music' and logging in with your registered account.
2. The app offers two membership tiers: 'PLUS' members can stream music up to 96kHz quality, while 'Premium' members can enjoy higher quality audio at 192kHz/24bit (refer to Figure 3).

Wi-Fi Transfer
This feature allows for file transfer between your smartphone, portable players, and computers over Wi-Fi.
Transfer from Computer:
1. Ensure your smartphone and computer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
2. Open an internet browser on your computer and navigate to the provided address (e.g., http://192.168.1.240:8080) to access your device's storage for file transfer.
Transfer between Apps (Phone to Phone):
1. Ensure both devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
2. On the receiving device, open this page of the app. On the sending device, select files in the library and tap the Wi-Fi transfer icon (often found in a three-dot menu) to send them.

SyncLink
SyncLink utilizes Bluetooth or Wi-Fi to connect with the Eddict Player app, enabling playlist management, song classification, and remote playback control of your audio device. This technology is compatible with MTouch Players, Android Players, and Streamers.
Connecting:
1. Locate and enable the SyncLink switch on your audio device. Ensure Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are active on both the device and your smartphone.
2. Open the SyncLink menu in the Eddict Player app on your smartphone and activate the 'SyncLink Controller'.
3. The app will search for compatible devices. Select your device from the list to establish a connection.
4. Once connected, you can control local file playback directly from the Eddict Player app's home screen. A 'Music Scan' may be required to ensure files are correctly displayed in the Local Music library.

Wireless Projection
This feature enables 1:1 screen mirroring from your streamer to your smartphone over Wi-Fi, providing access to all streamer functions and settings.
Connecting:
1. Ensure your streamer is connected to Wi-Fi. Navigate to the 'Network Service' menu and enable 'Wireless Projection'.
2. Open the Eddict Player app on your smartphone and access the 'Wireless Projection' menu. The app will search for compatible devices. Select your device from the list to connect.
Note: On first connection, the streamer may display a warning message requiring confirmation. This message might be hidden in the notification bar.

USB DAC/AMP Control
This menu allows access to various settings for USB DAC/AMP devices. This feature is available only on Android systems and is not compatible with iOS.
Connecting:
1. Connect your USB DAC/AMP to your smartphone via a USB cable. Ensure the connection is established.
2. In the Eddict Player app, navigate to the 'USB Control' menu and tap the icon of the connected USB DAC/AMP. You can now adjust the settings of the connected device.

NAS (Network Attached Storage)
This function allows the app to access audio files stored on local NAS servers.
Accessing NAS:
1. Open the 'NAS' option from the main screen of the Eddict Player app.
2. The app will search for available local servers. Click on the server you wish to access. If your server is password-protected, you will be prompted to enter your credentials.

Add Device
This feature allows you to add various devices on your local network, enabling subsequent operations.
Adding a Device:
1. From the Eddict Player app's main screen, tap the '+' icon, typically located in the upper right corner or within the 'My Devices' section.
2. Select the appropriate category for the device (e.g., Source, Pre-amp, Bluetooth, Power amp) and tap it. The app will search for compatible devices. Click on the desired device to add it.

DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance)
The Eddict Player app can function as a Digital Media Controller (DMC) for DLNA-compatible devices. It discovers content on Digital Media Servers (DMS) and instructs Digital Media Renderers (DMR) to play the content, allowing the app to control playback and volume.
Connecting and Playing via DLNA:
1. Ensure your streamer is connected to Wi-Fi. Navigate to the 'Network Service' menu and enable DLNA.
2. In the Eddict Player app, tap the DLNA icon within the playback interface.
3. Select your streamer from the list to act as a DMR and play the file (refer to Figure 10).

Settings
This section allows you to configure basic settings for the application and its music player.
Available Settings:
- Language: Change the app's display language.
- Timed Off: Set a timer for automatic shutdown.
- Resume Mode: Configure playback to resume from where it left off.
- Automatic Library-Playback Transition: Toggle automatic transitions between library browsing and playback.
- Folder Skip: Enable or disable skipping folders during playback.
- Pause when headphones disconnect: Automatically pause playback when headphones are unplugged.
- EQ: Access and adjust equalizer settings.
- LHDC(HWA): Enable or disable LHDC High-Definition Audio Codec support.
- Lock Screen controls: Control playback from the lock screen.
- Personalized background: Customize the app's background.
- Reset database: Reset the music library database.
- About: View app version and other information.
