Part 1: General Information
This manual provides instructions for the BN-LINK Smart Dimmer Switch.

Safety Precautions
- Ensure power is switched off before installation.
- Requires a neutral wire.
- For indoor use only.
- Do not exceed the maximum load rating.
Part 2: Installation
Step 1: Turn off power. Ensure the circuit breaker controlling the switch is turned off.
Step 2: Remove the old switch. Carefully remove the existing wall switch.
Step 3: Connect the wiring.
The dimmer switch requires three wires: Line (Hot), Load, and Neutral. Connect the wires according to the diagram:
Wiring Diagram Description:
A diagram shows a junction box with wires. The incoming power (Line) connects to the switch's Line terminal. The Load wire from the switch connects to the light fixture. The Neutral wire from the power source connects to the switch's Neutral terminal. The Ground wire connects to the switch's Ground terminal and the junction box if applicable.
- Connect the Line wire (usually black) to the switch's Line terminal.
- Connect the Load wire (usually black) to the switch's Load terminal.
- Connect the Neutral wire (usually white) to the switch's Neutral terminal.
- Connect the Ground wire (usually green or bare copper) to the switch's Ground terminal.
Step 4: Mount the switch. Secure the switch to the wall box.
Step 5: Restore power. Turn the circuit breaker back on.
Part 3: Connecting to the Smart Life App
Step 1: Download the App. Search for "Smart Life" in your app store (iOS or Android) and download it.
Step 2: Register/Login. Open the Smart Life app. Register for a new account or log in if you already have one.
Step 3: Add Device. Tap the '+' icon in the top right corner to add a new device. Select "Electrical" and then "Dimmer (Wi-Fi)".
Step 4: Wi-Fi Connection.
- Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
- Enter your Wi-Fi password.
- Press and hold the power button on the dimmer switch for approximately 5 seconds until the indicator light blinks rapidly.
- Confirm the indicator is blinking rapidly in the app and tap "Next".
Step 5: Pairing. The app will search for and connect to the device. This may take a minute.
Step 6: Device Added. Once connected, you can rename the device (e.g., "Living Room Light") and tap "Done".
Part 4: Using with Voice Assistants
Connecting to Amazon Alexa
Step 1: Enable Skill. Open the Alexa app, go to Skills & Games, search for "Smart Life", and enable it.
Step 2: Link Account. Log in with your Smart Life account credentials to link the accounts.
Step 3: Discover Devices. Ask Alexa to discover devices or tap "Add Device" in the Alexa app. Your dimmer switch should appear.
Example Commands: "Alexa, dim the living room light to 50%", "Alexa, turn on the bedroom light".
Connecting to Google Assistant
Step 1: Add Device. Open the Google Home app, tap the '+' icon, select "Set up device", then "Works with Google".
Step 2: Select Service. Search for "Smart Life" and select it.
Step 3: Link Account. Log in with your Smart Life account credentials to link the accounts.
Step 4: Assign Room. Assign the dimmer switch to a room in your Google Home setup.
Example Commands: "Hey Google, set the kitchen light to 75%", "Hey Google, turn off the hallway light".
Part 5: Troubleshooting
Issue: Device offline.
- Check if the dimmer switch is powered on.
- Ensure your Wi-Fi router is working and the dimmer switch is within range.
- Verify you are using a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
Issue: Cannot connect to Wi-Fi.
- Ensure correct Wi-Fi password is entered.
- Make sure the indicator light is blinking rapidly during pairing. If not, reset the switch by pressing and holding the power button for 5 seconds.
- Try moving the switch closer to the router during setup.
Issue: Voice control not working.
- Ensure the Smart Life skill/action is properly linked in Alexa/Google Home app.
- Check if the device name in the Smart Life app is clear and easy for voice assistants to recognize.

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
