Wyze Scale S Quick Start Guide
Welcome to Wyze! This guide will help you set up your Wyze Scale S for a better, more connected lifestyle.
Setup
- Before first use, remove the plastic strip from the battery compartment.
- Download the Wyze app from the App Store or Google Play and sign in or create an account.
- In the Wyze app, tap the '+' sign, then 'Add Device' > 'Lifestyle' > 'Wyze Scale S'. Follow the in-app instructions to complete setup. Enable your phone's Bluetooth and tap the scale's surface to activate it.
- After connection, place the scale on a hard, flat surface. Step onto the scale with bare feet, ensuring your feet touch the 4 electrodes for accurate measurements.

Tips for Accurate Measurements
- Place the scale on a hard, flat surface.
- Do not wear socks.
- Do not let your knees touch while standing on the scale.
Units
On the back of your Wyze Scale S, find the UNIT/RESET button. Press it to change units between pounds (lb) and kilograms (kg).
Notes
- Share your Wyze Scale S with family members via the Wyze app.
- Calibrate your scale by placing it on a hard, flat surface and stepping on/off to return it to "0.0 lb".
- Consider using Athlete Mode if you exercise more than 8 hours/week and have a resting heart rate below 60 bpm.
- Ensure your age, sex, and height are correctly entered in the app for accurate results.
- Connect to the Wyze app before measuring to ensure data is recorded on the correct profile.
- If users have similar weights, connect to the specific user's app profile to avoid data mix-ups.
- Individuals under 18 or over 65, pregnant women, or those with osteoporosis, edema, or on dialysis should use the scale as a reference only, as body fat measurements may be inaccurate due to deviations from standard averages.
LED Display
The LED display shows status indicators:
- LO: Suspected error. Clean the scale with a damp cloth and try again with bare feet.
- BAT: Batteries are low. Replace batteries.
- BAT (flashing): Batteries are critically low. Replace batteries.
- Er 1: Weight is outside the supported range. Please measure again.
Explanation of Symbols
- Warning Symbol (A with circle): Indicates a warning. Please recycle electronic products responsibly where facilities exist, following local authority or retailer advice.
- Keep Dry Symbol: Indicates the device should be kept dry.
Caution
Do not use this product with medical electronic devices such as pacemakers, artificial life support systems, or portable medical devices like electrocardiographs.
Pregnant women should consult their healthcare provider before use, as physical conditions can affect hydration levels and measurement accuracy.
General Safety & Precautions
- Do not stand on the edge of the scale to avoid falling or inaccurate measurements.
- Avoid using the scale on tiled or wet floors to prevent slips.
- Ensure the scale surface is clean before use to prevent slippage.
- Handle the scale with care; do not drop or jump on it, as this can damage sensors and affect accuracy.
- Avoid using the scale near strong magnetic fields (e.g., microwave ovens).
- This device complies with FCC Rules Part 15, subject to conditions of no harmful interference and acceptance of received interference.
- Unauthorized modifications may void the user's authority to operate the equipment.

Care & Maintenance
- Avoid high temperatures and direct irradiation.
- If stored near freezing temperatures, allow the scale to acclimate to room temperature before use.
- Remove batteries if the scale will not be used for 3 months or longer.
- Clean the scale with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse in water.
- The scale is designed to maintain safety and performance for at least 10,000 measurements.
Warranty Information
Wyze Scale S is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for 1 year from the purchase date when used as instructed. This warranty applies to the original retail purchaser. Wyze will, at its option, repair or replace defective products free of charge.
