3. Play music on the connected device and adjust settings to your desired level.
USB digital audio input
The S3000MKII utilizes an XMOS USB interface chip, commonly found in high-end audio equipment. When connected to a PC, it extracts and plays digital audio signals directly, similar to a "USB external audio streaming" device. This method avoids sound degradation and dynamic range compression associated with standard PC audio output, ensuring original sound quality restoration.
1. Connect the USB Type-A port on your PC to the USB Type-B input port on the rear panel of the active speaker (R) using a USB A-to-B data cable.
2. Press the "Volume/Input" dial on the rear panel of the active speaker (R), or press the "USB" button on the remote control until the display window shows "USB".
3. Play music on the connected device and adjust settings to your desired level.
Note: The S3000MKII's USB interface is based on USB Audio Class 2.0, supporting high-resolution audio up to 192kHz. For Windows users, a driver must be installed. Download it from www.edifier.com by searching for "S3000MKII" and navigating to the support section. For driver software details, visit: https://www.xmos.com/support/usb-audio-driver-support. Ensure S3000MKII is set as the audio output device: Windows: Control Panel → Sound → Playback → Set "XMOS USB Audio" as default. Mac: System Preferences → Sound → Output → Select "EDIFIER S3000MKII". Supported sample rates in USB mode: 44.1kHz, 48kHz, 96kHz, and 192kHz. Playback control in USB mode may vary by application. Volume levels are not synchronized between the S3000MKII and your device; adjust them separately.
Bluetooth input
1. Press the "Volume/Input" dial on the rear panel of the active speaker (R), or press the Bluetooth button (symbol not specified in OCR, represented as ' ' ) on the remote control until the display window shows the Bluetooth indicator.
2. Select "EDIFIER S3000MKII" in your device's (mobile phone, tablet, etc.) Bluetooth settings to connect.
Note: You can search for and connect to S3000MKII in any mode on your Bluetooth device. The S3000MKII will attempt to connect to the last paired device upon power-on. Audio playback via Bluetooth is only possible when the S3000MKII is in Bluetooth mode. The PIN code for connection, if required, is "0000". Ensure your audio source device supports A2DP and AVRCP profiles for full Bluetooth functionality. To disconnect from the current Bluetooth device, press and hold the "Volume/Input" knob on the right speaker (R) or the Bluetooth button on the remote control for over 2 seconds.
