Installation and Usage Guidelines
Step 1: Preparation
Ensure the base material is suitable for the fastener. Refer to the CSF Technical Manual for specific base material requirements and approved applications. The maximum allowable deviation for the base material is ≤1mm (dimension B).
Step 2: Tool Setup
- For FX 3-A, use SF 8M-A22 or SF 6(H)-22. Ensure the correct gear is selected: GEAR #3 for SF 8M-A22 and GEAR #2 for SF 6(H)-22.
- For FX 3-ST d20, use FX 3-A.
- For HAT 28-FX, ensure the correct settings are applied.
Step 3: Fastener Insertion
Insert the F-BT-MR SN fastener into the tool. Position the tool perpendicular to the base material.
Step 4: Fastening Process
- Apply the tool to the base material.
- Ensure a minimum distance of 100 mm from edges for certain applications.
- The maximum allowable time for fastening is 2 hours.
- For specific load requirements:
- Minimum load: 20 kg / 44 lb (e.g., FX 3-A).
- Minimum load: ≥30 kg / 66 lb (e.g., FX 3-ST d20).
Step 5: Post-Installation Checks
- Verify the fastener is securely in place.
- Ensure the installation meets the required specifications.
Step 6: Specific Applications
- X-WCG F3-BT: Ensure correct alignment and insertion.
- X-WST F3-BT: Follow specific torque and length guidelines.
