Welcome to your new Skylink MZ-104 Satellite and Internet Receiver. This guide will help you connect, install, and navigate your device.

Your receiver package typically includes:

Step 1: Connecting and Switching On

Connect your receiver to power and your TV:

Security Advice: Do not use your SAT receiver in a closed or insufficiently ventilated cabinet, directly on or under another device or when the ventilation slots of the receiver are covered. ?

Using an External Hard Disc Drive

Connect an external HDD or USB stick to enjoy these features:

• Local TV Recordings:
  • Instant recording of the current program with one button press.
  • Scheduled recordings for future programs.
• Timeshift:
  • Auto: Continuous recording of the current TV program, starts automatically.
  • Manual: Manually trigger time shift using the Pause button on the remote.

To connect your external hard disc drive:

1. Connect an external hard disc drive (not included, minimum 16GB, maximum 3TB) to the USB port on the left side of your MZ-104.
2. Format Hard Disc: For first-time use, the receiver will prompt to format the drive. Press [OK] to start the formatting process. ⚠️ All data on the HDD will be erased.

Step 2: Installation - Fast & Easy

Follow these steps for a quick and easy setup:

1. Language: Select your preferred language using the arrow keys [↑], [↓], [←], [→] and confirm with [OK].
2. Country: Select your country using the arrow keys and confirm with [OK]. The MZ-104 will download data from the satellite for installation. Please wait.
3. Operator/Channel List: Based on your country, the receiver presets the operator and channel list. Confirm your selection with [OK].
4. Network Connection:
   • If your receiver is connected via LAN cable, "LAN" is preselected. Confirm with [OK]. For advanced settings, select "Advanced".
   • If no LAN cable is connected, select your preferred Wi-Fi network, enter the password, and confirm with [OK].
   • If no internet connection is available, select "Skip".
5. Parental Guidance: The default PIN is 1234. It is recommended to change this PIN and set the minimum age for restricted content using the arrow keys. Confirm with [OK].
6. Software Check: The system will check for the latest software. Confirm with [OK] once the check is complete or the software is updated.
7. Enjoy: You're all set! Press [OK] to enjoy the services.

• Restart your TV channel from the beginning.
• Use the TV Replay Library for hundreds of TV shows from the last 7 days.
• Browse and watch hundreds of on-demand series and movies.
• Enhance the User Interface with channel logos.
• Download the Skylink mobile app (iOS/Android) for advanced features like playlists and personal profiles.

Step 3: Easy Navigation

Use the arrow keys [↑], [↓], [←], [→] and the [OK] button to navigate and operate all functions.

Navigation on Home Screen & Content Pages (e.g., Video on Demand)

• [HOME]: Press the HOME button to open the home screen.
• Arrow Keys (Vertical): Use [↑] and [↓] for vertical navigation through content rows.
• Arrow Keys (Horizontal): Use [←] and [→] for horizontal navigation within content rows. Pressing [←] from the leftmost item closes the home screen.
• [OK]: Opens the detail page for selected content.
• [BACK]: Returns you one step back in navigation.
• [EXIT]: Closes the home screen.

Tips:

• On content detail pages, you can select functions like Restart, Play, and Record.
• Status icons at the top right of the menu provide information on satellite signal, internet connection, and interactive service availability.

Navigation while watching TV or VoD (Video Playback mode)

• Main Menu: Press the left arrow key [←] or the [MENU] button to open the main menu. Press [EXIT] or [BACK] to close.
• Options: Press the right arrow key [→] or the [OPT] button to open language options. Press [EXIT] or [BACK] to close.
• Info Bar and Detail Page: Press the down arrow key [↓] or the [INFO] button to display the info bar for the current channel. To open the detail page for the current program, press [OK], [INFO], or the down arrow key [↓] again. Press [EXIT] or [BACK] to close.

Navigation in Channel List

• Press [OK] to open the channel list. Press [OK] or [EXIT] again to close it.
• Press the left arrow key [←] to choose your favorite list options.
• Use the arrow keys [↑], [↓], [←], [→] for navigation within the channel list.

Tip: To create and edit your TV favorite lists, go to "Menu/Settings/Favourites".
