Getting Started

Turn On

Press and hold the Pocket Charger Button for 4 seconds, then release. Pocket Charger Status Lights and Holder Status Lights will turn on slowly.

Charge Holder

Insert the Holder into the Pocket Charger to charge. The Holder Status Light will show the Holder battery level.

Charge Pocket Charger

Before first use, fully charge your device with the Power Adaptor and Charging Cable (approx. 135 minutes).

How to Use Your IQOS ILUMA

  1. Insert SMARTCORE STICK
    Insert the SMARTCORE STICK to the line on the filter until the Holder vibrates and Light(s) pulse(s). Heating starts automatically, or by pressing the button for 1 second.
  2. Begin Use
    Start using once the Holder vibrates and Lights stay fixed.
  3. Nearly Complete
    To signal the last 30 seconds or last 2 puffs, the Holder will vibrate with Light(s) pulsing white.
  4. Remove SMARTCORE STICK
    Remove the used SMARTCORE STICK and dispose of it per Safety Warnings and Instructions.
  5. Recharge Holder
    Insert the Holder in the Charger for recharging.

Quick Tips

Check Holder Status

Tilt the Holder towards you or short press the Button. Holder Lights indicate the Holder battery level.

Check Holder Status on the Pocket Charger

Short press the Pocket Charger Button. The Holder Status Light will turn on.

Check Pocket Charger Status

Short press the Pocket Charger Button. Pocket Charger Status Lights will turn on to indicate battery level.

Autostop

During use, the experience will stop if the SMARTCORE STICK is moved or removed from the Holder.

Light Blinks Yellow

Battery depleted, needs to charge.

Lights Blink White Twice

IQOS ILUMA is outside the operating temperature range (0°C–40°C).

Light Blinks Red

Reset Pocket Charger. If the red light blinking persists, contact Customer Care.

To Reset

Place the Holder in the Pocket Charger and press the Button for 10 seconds, then release. All Status Lights will turn OFF, and then turn ON, to confirm a RESET.

Information for Disposing of IQOS ILUMA™ and IQOS ILUMA PRIME™

Valid across European Union and EEA

The symbol [recycle symbol] on the product or on its packaging indicates that this product and its individual parts (including batteries) must not be disposed of with your other household waste. Instead, it is your responsibility to dispose of your waste equipment by bringing it to a designated collection point for the recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment. In addition, waste batteries can be returned free of charge at the point of sale. The separate collection and recycling of your waste equipment (including batteries) at the time of disposal will help to conserve natural resources and ensure that it is recycled in a manner that protects human health and the environment. Disposing of waste equipment as unsorted municipal waste (e.g., by waste incineration or landfill) can have negative effects on the environment and human health. For more information about where you can drop off your waste equipment for recycling, please contact your local city office, your local household waste disposal service, or the shop where you purchased the product. The local importer of the product will provide for the financing of the treatment and recycling of waste equipment returned through these designated collection points in accordance with local requirements.

Battery Removal Instructions (For Disposal and Recycling)

Batteries must not be removed by the consumer. At end of product life, only an authorized recycler may safely remove batteries by following the steps below.

IQOS ILUMA PRIME™ Pocket Charger (Model C1502):

  1. The device should be fully discharged before disassembling it.
  2. Remove/peel off the rubber pad from the Pocket Charger Wrap Cover.
  3. Remove the 2 screws.
  4. Remove Wrap Cover by sliding and wiggling vertically slowly away from Metal Housing, then remove the 2 screws of the frame.
  5. Detach all Flexible Printed Circuits and connector to remove the charger Printed Circuit Board.
  6. Remove battery by tilting it up and dispose of according to local regulations.

IQOS ILUMA™ Pocket Charger (Model M0001):

  1. The device should be fully discharged before disassembling it.
  2. Remove Door Cover with fingers.
  3. Open door and unscrew bottom and top screw.
  4. Remove Charger Housing.
  5. Unscrew the electronic circuit board (1 screw only).
  6. Unplug battery connector on the circuit board. Do not cut battery wires.
  7. Remove battery by tilting it up and dispose of according to local regulations.

IQOS ILUMA™ and IQOS ILUMA PRIME™ Holder (Model C1402):

  1. The device should be fully discharged before disassembling it.
  2. Open the Ring.
  3. Open the retainer cap, slide out the assembly out from housing.
  4. De-solder the battery tab and lift it up.
  5. Remove battery and dispose of according to local regulations.
