INSTALLATION Position the appliance in the room to be dehumidified. The appliance must be placed on a flat surface where the passage of air in the grilles is not obstructed in any way (A4) (A6). To allow ventilation, it is advisable to leave a space of at least 50 cm behind the unit. The condensate can be drained in one of the following ways: a) Draining into the tank The condensate can be drained directly into the tank. The tank can be easily removed (Fig.1). tion centre for disposal. 10 Make sure than the rubber cap is correctly and completely inserted in the spout behind the unit, so as to prevent water leakages (fig.2). b) Continuous external draining If you have the need to leave the unit in operation for a long period of time without being able to empty the tank periodically, we recommend using the continuous drain. 1) Remove the rubber cap from the spout (fig.2). 2) Attach the hose accessory to the spout as shown in figure 3. 3) Make sure the end of the hose is no higher than the spout. Otherwise the water will flow into the tank of the appliance (Fig. 4). Make sure there are no kinks in the hose. DESCRIPTION (pages 2-3) Description of the appliance (pag. 2 - A) A1. Tank full/tank missing indicator light HOW TO DEHUMIDIFY · Connect the appliance into an outlet. · Check that the "tank full/tank missing" indicator light B3 ( ) is turned off, otherwise empty the tank or posi- tion it correctly. · The humidistat knob allows to adjust the humidity level to suit your needs ( / / and intermediate values). If the knob is placed on ( ), the dehumidifier will re- move little humidity from the environment; on ( ), instead, the unit will remove a lot of humidity from the environment. To dehumidify, simply adjust the humidistat on one of the available positions. Mode ("dry" function) If you wish to remove high amounts of humidity (e.g. to dry clothes), it is advisable to operate the unit at maximum power, turning the humidistat knob to position ( ). In this mode, the dehumidifier will operate continuously regardless of the level of humidity in the environment. Below are shown the four levels of humidity that can be set: Approx. 75% environment humidity Approx. 50% environment humidity Approx. 25% environment humidity Continuous operation Please note! · If the humidity in the room is greater than the set humidity, the appliance will start to dehumidify and will stop functioning only when the desired level of humidity is reached. INDICATOR LIGHTS Tank control light (Tank control system) This dehumidifier is equipped with a device that monitors the correct functioning of the appliance. The corresponding indicator light, located on the control panel, turns on to warn the user when 1. the tank is full: empty the tank 2. the tank is missing: reposition the tank 3. the tank is positioned incorrectly: position it properly 4. in continuous drain: the hose is obstructed or the difference in level is too great (the water continues to be discharged into the tank) Make sure that the hose is correctly attached, as indicated in the"INSTALLATION"section, b) Continuous external draining. remove the obstruction. Once the cause has been removed and the tank has been emptied, the indicator light will turn off and the appliance will restart operation. Operation indicator light The light B2 ( ) turns on when the humidistat knob is activated and it remains on at all times during the normal operation of the unit. 11 Please note! · The appliance is equipped with a security device (delay of 3 minutes) that protects the compressor against too frequent starts and stops. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE Always remove the plug from the power socket before performing any cleaning or maintenance operations. For safety reasons, never wash the dehumidifier using a water jet. Cleaning the cabinet · Clean the appliance using a damp cloth then dry with a dry cloth. · Never use petrol, alcohol or solvents to clean the appliance. · Never spray the appliance with insecticides or similar. These could cause the plastic parts to warp. Cleaning the dust air filter If the filter is dirty, air circulation is compromised and the efficiency of dehumidifying is decreased. It is therefore good practice to clean the filter at regular intervals. The frequency depends on the environment and the duration of operation. If the unit is used constantly or systematically, you are recommended to clean the filter once a week. · To remove the air filter, after lifting the handle (A3) vertically (see fig. 5), remove the griller (A4), gaining leverage near the areas marked with the symbols / then pull outwards to release it (see fig. 5). At this point, remove the filter by pulling it out using the special flap provided (see fig. 6). · Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust accumulations from the filter. If the filter is very dirty, rinse well with lukewarm water. The temperature of the water should not exceed 40°C. After washing the filter, allow it to dry completely before reinserting it. · Replace the air filter (A5), inserting the lower part of the filter into the dedicated supports first, making sure that the word "UP" is facing towards the upper part of the grille (see fig. 7), then slightly bend the filter and insert the upper part in the supports provided (see fig. 7).
