Detailed Setup
Connecting via Wireless USB Receiver:
- Ensure the keyboard power is on.
- Plug the USB receiver into an available USB A port on your device.
- Set the connection channel to the wireless USB receiver.
- This connection is plug-and-play.
Connecting via Bluetooth:
In Windows:
- Turn on the keyboard and set it to Bluetooth Channel 1 ($1) or Channel 2 ($2).
- Go to Start Menu -> Settings -> Devices -> Bluetooth & other devices.
- Turn on Bluetooth and select 'Add Bluetooth or other device' -> 'Add a device (Bluetooth)'.
- Press and HOLD 'Fn' and SHORT press '$1' or '$2' to put the keyboard into pairing mode (LED will flash green for $1, red for $2).
- Click 'heyday compact kb' to connect. The LED will stop flashing and remain lit, then turn off upon completion.
In Mac:
- Turn on the keyboard and set it to Bluetooth Channel 1 ($1) or Channel 2 ($2).
- Go to Apple menu -> System Preferences -> Bluetooth. Turn Bluetooth on.
- Press and HOLD 'Fn' and SHORT press '$1' or '$2' to put the keyboard into pairing mode (LED will flash green for $1, red for $2).
- Click 'heyday compact kb' to connect. The LED will stop flashing and remain lit, then turn off upon completion.
Switching Connection Channels:
- Press and HOLD 'Fn' and SHORT press '$1' or '$2' to switch between channels. The default channel is the wireless USB receiver.
- Example: To switch from wireless USB receiver to Bluetooth Channel 1, press and HOLD 'Fn' and SHORT press '$1'. The LED indicator for Channel 1 will flash green.
Troubleshooting
If the keyboard is not working (USB Receiver):
- Turn off the keyboard, re-plug the USB receiver, and turn the keyboard power on (ensure the correct channel is selected).
- Press and HOLD 'Fn' and LONG press the wireless USB receiver key (keep the keyboard close to the receiver).
- If it does not work after 10 seconds, reboot your device and repeat steps 1-3.
If the keyboard is not working (Bluetooth):
- Turn off the keyboard, turn the power on again (ensure the correct Bluetooth channel $1 or $2 is selected).
- Make sure Bluetooth is turned on on your device.
- Press and HOLD 'Fn' and LONG press '$1' or '$2' to set the keyboard in pairing mode. Ensure it is discoverable on your device and then pair.
- If it does not work after 10 seconds, reboot your device and repeat steps 1-3.
- If it's not working on previously paired devices, ensure Bluetooth is on for that device and the keyboard is set to the correct Bluetooth channel.
Low Battery Indicator
If the red LED starts to flash, it indicates that the batteries need to be replaced.

Press and hold 'Fn' + F1 ~ F12 for shortcut functions:

Press F1~F12 as standard function keys without holding 'Fn'.
