2. Installation
Follow installation and maintenance instructions in this manual for normal operation. Incorrect installation or maintenance may affect performance and safety.
3. Accessory List
The following accessories are included:
- A-B: Elbow with Check Valve (x1)
- C: Coupling hose (x3)
- D: Rubber Ring (x1)
- E: Clamp 32-50mm (x6)
- F: Activated carbon (x1)
- G: Clamp 90-110mm (x2)
- H: Blanking Plug (x2)
- J: Lid (x1)
4. Connect Water Drainage Pipeline
Install the rubber ring (D) to connect the toilet to the water pump unit. Use clamps (G) (90-110mm) to secure the connection.
Install the check valve elbow (A-B) at the water drain hole and secure it with hoop (E) (32-50mm). The elbow allows for directional changes to meet installation requirements.
The elbow can connect to PVC hard pipelines or metal pipes with diameters of 22mm, 32mm, or 40mm. Avoid using flexible or soft pipes, as they may deform over time and cause leaks. Do not use water drainage pipelines exceeding 40mm in diameter, as this can impede drainage and affect the product's working life.
Important: Please ensure water drains upward for optimal performance, followed by horizontal drainage. If horizontal drainage is necessary, its length must not exceed 30cm.
Ensure a 2%-3% incline for the water drainage pipe leading to the main pipeline to prevent sewage backflow. Use a 135° elbow, not a 90° elbow, for the PVC water pipe to maintain optimal range.
Ball Valve Recommendation
It is recommended to install a ball valve (not provided) near the water outlet position. This facilitates preventing sewage leakage during pump disassembly.
5. Second Method of Installing Water Drainage Check Valve
If the sewage pump is installed behind a wall, the toilet's water tank may not shield the drain hole. In this case, elbow (A-B) may not be necessary. Disassemble the black check valve from accessories (A-B) and install it into a soft pipe (C), as shown in the diagram.
6. Installation of Connect Pipe in Shower Room
For installation in a shower room, consider installing a wood rack, an iron shower base, or building a cement platform. This elevates the shower room floor, ensuring a 3% incline for the drainage pipe between the shower room and the sewage pump, allowing smooth sewage flow.
Attention: Ensure the shower room chassis is lifted by at least 15cm, considering the distance to the water pump.
6-2. Connecting Other Fixtures: If not connecting a toilet, use cover (J) to block the toilet inlet hole. Secure with hoop (G). Then, connect only the water groove, shower room, and washing machine.
7. Activated Carbon Deodorization Device
The product includes an activated carbon package for deodorization. The entire package or carbon powder can be used. It is advised to renew the activated carbon annually.
8. Connection to Electrical Supply
All wiring must comply with applicable electrical codes in your territory. The macerating system requires a single-phase 110-120 volt supply.
When installed in a bathroom, the receptacle should be located 40 inches (1 meter) away (in a straight line) from a shower or bathtub. Connect only to a receptacle protected by a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI).
Warning: Risk of electric shock. This pump is supplied with a grounding conductor and a grounding-type attachment plug. Ensure it is connected only to a properly grounded receptacle.
9. Cautionary Notes
9-1. Application Scope: The normal application for FLOLUXURY macerating units is the disposal of human waste, toilet paper, and water. The FLOLUXURY-500 is designed for family use only and cannot handle sanitary items like condoms, tampons, sanitary pads, or cotton swabs.
9-2. Prohibited Discharges: Do not discharge acids, alkaloids, solvents, painting materials, paint strippers, food waste, plastic bags, metal objects (nails, hairpins), wood, building materials, kitty litter, or any items that could clog, damage, or corrode the unit. Disregarding these warnings may damage the unit.
Do not hang bleach blocks or hydrochloride cleaners in the toilet tank, as these can deteriorate plastic and neoprene components, potentially causing leaks.
Power Loss: During a power outage, do not use the toilet or any connected sanitary fixtures, as the unit will not function until power is restored.
Maintenance: The toilet operates like a conventional flushing toilet and requires no regular maintenance. However, cleaning the macerating unit once a year is recommended. Avoid using bleach, and be careful not to let water enter the electrical cord opening.
Operation: The macerating unit automatically starts when the toilet is flushed or when other connected fixtures (bath, shower, hand basin) discharge. It stops automatically once the contents have been pumped away.
Long Periods of Non-Use: For extended periods of non-use (vacation, power failure, maintenance), turn off the water supply to the tank and flush the unit to empty it. Ensure no leakage into the bowl from the tank.
Winterization: In areas prone to freezing, the entire system must be properly winterized. This includes draining all pipes, the toilet tank, and the macerating tank. To winterize, pour a jug of plumber's anti-freeze into the tank and flush the toilet. This activates the unit and replaces remaining water with anti-freeze. VEVOR is not liable for breakdowns due to freezing.
Ensure no faucets are left open. Dripping water can fill the pump, leading to repeated start-stops that may overheat the motor and cause a flood.
10. Disassembly for Minor Intervention
Before removing the unit, ensure the following steps are completed:
- 10-1: If possible, close the water supply to the tank and close the ball or gate valve on the outlet pipe.
- 10-2: Pull the electrical cord from the receptacle before removing the unit.
- 10-3: Empty as much water as possible from the toilet tank and bowl.
- 10-4: Disconnect the toilet from the unit. Remove the toilet bowl and set it aside against a wall to prevent tipping.
The FloLuxury-500 features an emergency drain hole for maintenance. This allows for complete drainage of sewage from the pump, facilitating disassembly. This design ensures the toilet room remains functional during pump maintenance.
- 10-5: A dry/wet type vacuum cleaner can assist in removing residual water from the bowl or macerating unit.
- 10-6: When removing the macerating unit, carefully disconnect the inlet drainpipes, as residual water may be present inside.
- 10-7: For clogged side inlet valves, remove the sleeves and use a screwdriver to free or clean the rubber flap if necessary.
- 10-8: Do not immerse the unit completely in water. Prevent water from entering the electrical cord entrance opening.
- 10-9: When replacing the lid, lightly grease the rubber gasket with soapy water or dishwasher liquid (avoid Vaseline, as it may expand neoprene materials). Ensure the gasket is properly seated inside the lid first. Push the lid down starting from the cord side, then work around and tap gently with a rubber mallet or block.
