Safety Warnings

• To turn this apparatus off completely, pull the power plug out of the wall socket. The power plug must be easily and readily accessible at all times.

Explanation of Symbols

• High Voltage: ⚡ Indicates high voltage is present inside. Contact with internal parts is dangerous.

Precautions

• Ensure your home's AC power supply complies with the product's requirements (check the identification sticker on the bottom).
• Install the product horizontally on a suitable base with adequate ventilation (7-10 cm space around it). Ensure ventilation slots are not covered.
• Do not place the unit on amplifiers or other equipment that may become hot.
• The unit is designed for continuous use. Disconnect the AC plug from the wall outlet to turn it off completely. Unplug if leaving unused for a long period.
• During thunderstorms, disconnect the AC plug from the wall outlet to prevent damage from lightning-induced voltage peaks.
• Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight or other heat sources to prevent overheating and malfunction.
• Protect the product from moisture, excessive heat, and strong magnetic or electric fields.
• Unplug the power cable if the unit malfunctions.
• This unit is for personal use only, not industrial use.
• Allow the unit to reach room temperature for approximately 2 hours if transported from a cold environment before use.
• Dispose of batteries responsibly, as they contain chemicals harmful to the environment. Do not expose batteries to heat, sunlight, or fire. Do not short circuit, disassemble, or overheat batteries. Caution: Danger of explosion if battery is replaced incorrectly. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.
• Warning: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this appliance to rain or moisture.
• Caution: To prevent electric shock, match the wide blade of the plug to the wide slot and insert fully.
• The apparatus must always be connected to an AC outlet with a protective grounding connection.
• To disconnect, the plug must be pulled from the mains socket, ensuring it is readily operable.

Product Overview

The Samsung HW-Q600C soundbar system includes the main soundbar unit and a wireless subwoofer.

Soundbar Main Unit Ports

• HDMI IN: Connects to the HDMI output of an external device for digital video and audio signals.
• HDMI TO TV (eARC/ARC): Connects to the HDMI IN (eARC) port on a TV for audio return.
• DIGITAL AUDIO IN (OPTICAL): Connects to the digital (optical) output of an external device.
• USB (5V 0.5A): Connect a USB drive to play music files.
• DC 24V (Power Supply In): Connects the AC/DC power adapter.

Subwoofer

The wireless subwoofer connects automatically to the soundbar. The LINK LED indicator on the subwoofer will stop blinking and glow solid blue when a connection is established.

Soundbar Controls (Top Panel)

• Volume: ? Adjusts sound level.
• Power: ? Turns the unit on/off.
• Source: ?️ Selects the input mode (D.IN / HDMI / BT / USB).

Display

The display shows the selected input mode.

Connecting the Soundbar

Connect the power cords for both the soundbar and subwoofer. Ensure the AC/DC adapter is placed flat to prevent liquid ingress.

Using a Wired Connection

Connect your TV or external devices using cables for audio input.

• HDMI Cable: Connect from the HDMI OUT of your source device to the HDMI IN on the soundbar. For TV audio, connect from the TV's HDMI ARC/eARC port to the soundbar's HDMI TO TV (eARC/ARC) port.
• Optical Cable (not supplied): Connect from the optical output of your TV or source device to the DIGITAL AUDIO IN (OPTICAL) port on the soundbar. Ensure any protective covers on the cable ends are removed.

Notes:

• Functionality depends on the TV's supported codecs.
• The displayed messages may differ by TV model.
• For eARC connection, ensure the eARC function is enabled in your TV's settings. Refer to your TV's user manual for details (e.g., Samsung TV: Home → Menu → Settings → All Settings → Sound → Expert Settings → HDMI-eARC Mode (Auto)).
• If TV sound is inaudible, switch to 'D.IN' mode using the Source button. The display will show 'D.IN' and 'TV ARC' or 'TV eARC' sequentially.
• A High-Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet is recommended.

Using a Wireless Connection

Connecting via Bluetooth

Pair your mobile devices or TV with the soundbar wirelessly.

• BT READY: Reconnects to previously paired devices.
• BT PAIRING: Connects a new device. To enter BT PAIRING mode, press the PAIR button on the remote or press and hold the Source button on the soundbar for over 5 seconds while in 'BT' mode.
• If prompted for a PIN code, enter 0000.
• Bluetooth Multi-connection: The soundbar can connect to two Bluetooth devices simultaneously. You can play music from one connected device.

Using the Q-Symphony Function

Q-Symphony synchronizes the soundbar with a compatible Samsung TV to output sound from both devices for an enhanced surround effect. The TV menu will show 'TV+Soundbar' under Sound Output settings.

Troubleshooting

Follow these steps if you encounter issues.

• Soundbar does not turn on: Check if the power cord is correctly inserted into the outlet.
• Subwoofer does not connect automatically: Manually connect the subwoofer:
  • Subwoofer: Ensure the LED is in the correct state (e.g., Red and Blue On, then Blinking blue fast).
  • Remote Control: Press the power button, then press the UP button for at least 5 seconds.
  • Soundbar: Put the soundbar into 'ID SET' mode.
  • The LINK LED will turn solid blue upon successful connection.
• Soundbar does not connect via Bluetooth: Ensure you are in 'BT PAIRING' mode for new devices. Remove the soundbar from the Bluetooth device's list and try reconnecting. (Samsung TV: Home → Menu → Settings → All Settings → Sound → Sound Output → Bluetooth Speaker List).
• Sound drops out when connected via Bluetooth: Keep devices close to the soundbar. Avoid placing the soundbar near sources of radio interference (microwaves, routers). Ensure your body is not blocking the Bluetooth transceiver. Avoid metal furniture installations that might interfere.
• Soundbar does not turn on automatically with TV: Ensure power synchronization is enabled. Turn off the TV first, then the soundbar.
• Soundbar works erratically: Unplug the power cord, wait a moment, and plug it back in. Try resetting the product.
• No signal detected: The soundbar may automatically turn off after a period of inactivity. Turn the power on again.
• Remote control does not work: Point the remote directly at the soundbar. Replace batteries with new ones.
• Soundbar outputs no sound: Check volume levels and ensure the soundbar is not muted. Adjust the volume on the connected external device. Select 'Soundbar' as the TV's sound output. Remove and reconnect cables.
• Subwoofer outputs no sound: Check the subwoofer's LINK LED. It should be solid blue for a successful connection. If blinking blue or red, reconnect it.
• TV not connected via HDMI TO TV (eARC/ARC): Verify the HDMI cable is correctly connected to the eARC terminal. Try connecting the soundbar directly to the TV without intermediate devices. Ensure HDMI-CEC (Anynet+ on Samsung TVs) is activated in the TV's menu.
