Installation Overview
This guide details the installation process for a Villeroy & Boch wall-mounted toilet featuring concealed fixation. It covers essential steps from preparing the wall to final connections.
Installation Steps
Step 1: Wall Preparation and Marking
Begin by measuring and marking the precise locations on the wall for the toilet and its mounting hardware. This step requires adherence to specific dimensions, such as "X3 + 40 mm", to ensure correct positioning and clearance. The diagrams illustrate marking points on both the wall and the toilet unit.
Step 2: Mounting the Wall Bracket
Securely attach the provided mounting bracket to the wall. This involves drilling pilot holes, inserting appropriate wall plugs, and fastening the bracket using screws. ⚠️ Important: Ensure the bracket is firmly fixed to the wall to support the toilet's weight and ensure stability.
Step 3: Waste Pipe Connection Preparation
Prepare the flexible waste pipe (designated as L1). Connect the necessary pipe connectors to L1. The diagrams specify the required lengths for these connections, such as "L1 + Xo + 25 mm" and "L1 + X1 + 40 mm", which depend on the specific plumbing layout and wall depth.
Step 4: Attaching Waste Pipe to Toilet
Connect the prepared flexible waste pipe assembly to the toilet's waste outlet. Ensure this connection is made securely and is watertight to prevent leaks.
Step 5: Water Supply Connection
Connect the water supply line to the toilet's inlet valve. This connection is crucial for the toilet's flushing mechanism and water filling.
Step 6: Positioning and Securing the Toilet
Carefully position the toilet unit against the wall, aligning it with the previously mounted bracket. Secure the toilet to the bracket using the provided fixings. Measurements like "X + X4 + 40 mm" may be used to confirm the final placement and ensure proper alignment.
Step 7: Final Pipe Connections
Complete all final connections for both the waste pipe and the water supply. Verify that all joints are properly sealed and tightened.
Step 8: Final Checks and Curing Time
Perform a final check of all screws and fixings, ensuring they are tightened appropriately for a stable installation. A symbol indicates a waiting period: ⏳ Allow 24 hours for any sealant or adhesive to fully cure before the toilet is put into regular use.
Step 9: Completed Installation
Once the curing period has passed, the toilet installation is complete. The result is a neatly installed, wall-mounted toilet with a concealed fixation, contributing to a clean bathroom aesthetic.
