Overview
The Carrier 50FCQ units are standard-efficiency, single-packaged heat pump units featuring Ecoblue™ Technology. They come pre-wired and pre-charged with Puron® refrigerant. Electric heat is available as a field-installed accessory. These units are fully factory tested and agency certified. They offer field-convertible supply and return openings, designed for installation on a roof curb accessory (ordered separately) or for slab mounting with horizontal duct connections. Various factory-installed options and field-installed accessories are available.

Roof Curb Details
This section details the roof curb accessories designed for the 50FCQ series units, ensuring proper installation and sealing on rooftops.
Roof Curb Accessories:
- Two standard roof curb accessory heights are available: 14 inches (356 mm) and 24 inches (610 mm).
- Construction: The curbs are constructed from 18-gage steel with insulated panels (1" thick polyurethane foam).
- Dimensions: Specific dimensions for supply air and return air openings, as well as overall curb dimensions, are provided in inches and millimeters. For example, the 14-inch curb has a supply air opening of approximately 21.74" x 11.96" and a return air opening of approximately 15.19" x 11.96".
- Installation Notes: Instructions cover attaching ductwork to the curb, service clearances (4 feet on each side), and direction of airflow.
