Scale Use
General Operation
NOTE: This scale requires one (1) 9V battery (included). When "LO" appears on the digital display, replace the battery.
- Choose pounds (LB) or kilograms (KG) using the selector switch located on the back of the scale.
- Place the scale on a flat surface. A hard surface is best for maximum accuracy. Placing the scale on a soft, deep pile rug may affect weighing accuracy.
- Before each weighing, tap on the lower corner of the scale. The scale will calibrate and display "[calibration indicator]" (e.g., "- - - -"), then "0.0".
- Step on the scale and position your feet to distribute your weight evenly over the entire platform. The display will flash "[calibration indicator]" several times for a few seconds before displaying your weight. Stand still while reading the display.
- If you remain standing on the scale after your weight is displayed, it will continue to display for a few seconds and then turn off automatically.
- If you step off the scale immediately after your weight is displayed, it will continue to display for a few seconds and then turn off automatically.
Error and Calibration Notes
If "E" is displayed, the scale needs to be calibrated (repeat Step 3) or the maximum weight load of 330LB (150KG) has been exceeded.
NOTE: It is normal for your weight to vary during the day and from day to day. Slight changes in your weight are generally normal.
Battery Replacement
- Locate the battery cover on the back of the scale.
- Open the compartment by pushing the locking tab and pulling the cover up.
- Insert a new battery, pressing it firmly into the slot (check orientation).
- Replace the battery cover.
Care
Periodically wipe the scale surface down with a DRY cloth to remove dust.
Caution
Weight exceeding the capacity (330LB/150KG) may damage your scale. This scale is designed for personal use only, not commercial/industrial use. This scale is not waterproof; avoid contact with excessive moisture.
