1.4 Safety Information
For personal and vehicle safety, all personnel handling the equipment must read the safety precautions in this manual.
1.4.1 Inspection Precautions
- Connect the Ancel V6 only to a grounded safety outlet. Verify the diagnostic circuit is in good condition before connecting to prevent damage. Use a multimeter to check diagnostic seat voltage if necessary.
- Use only the provided power cord or a detected power line.
- Be aware of environmental factors like acid, alkali, poison gas, and heavy pressure.
- Avoid exhaust gases, which contain toxic compounds. Operate the vehicle in a well-ventilated area.
- Do not place the device on the vehicle's power distribution unit, as strong electromagnetic interference can cause damage.
- Ensure the parking brake is engaged and the gear lever is in neutral or park before starting the engine after installation.
- When the engine is hot, avoid contact with high-temperature components like the water tank and exhaust pipe. Be cautious of voltages from ignition coil, distributor cover, ignition circuit, and spark plug during engine operation.
1.4.2 Notes on the use of the instrument
- The instrument is a precision electronic device; handle it gently, away from heat and electromagnetic fields.
- Ensure the instrument and diagnostics are securely connected to prevent test interruptions.
- When moving the device, use screws to secure cables and connectors to prevent disconnection and damage. Hold connectors by the front end when unplugging.
- Do not disconnect electrical components while energized to prevent self-inductance, mutual inductance, and damage to sensors and the vehicle ECU.
- Operation requires a basic understanding of vehicle inspection, maintenance, and the vehicle's electronic control system.
1.4.3 Operating car ECU considerations
When performing diagnostic operations on vehicles with computer control systems:
- Keep magnetic objects (e.g., speakers) away from the computer, as they can damage ECU circuits and components.
- Do not disconnect internal electrical equipment when the ignition is on, as this can cause high instantaneous voltage, damaging sensors and the ECU.
- Exercise caution when working near computers or sensors to prevent damage.
- When performing maintenance near an ECU-controlled digital meter, wear an anti-static wrist strap.
- Turn off the ECU system power before welding on a car.
- Do not use test lights for ECU-related electrical devices unless specified; use appropriate methods to prevent ECU or sensor damage.
- Test ECUs and sensors with a high-impedance digital meter, not a pointer-type ohmmeter, unless otherwise specified.

5.2 Warranty
This warranty applies only to products purchased from an OBDSPACE authorized dealer. Buyers purchasing from unauthorized sources are solely responsible for maintenance costs and are not eligible for warranty services from OBDSPACE.
(1) Product acceptance
Upon receiving the product, open the package and carefully check the product category and quantity against the attached list. Report any shortages, errors, damages, or abnormal conditions immediately, keeping all product documents. Failure to do so will be considered a waiver of the claim.
(2) Product warranty
Starting from the date of purchase (with valid proof and warranty card), if the product experiences performance failure within one month not caused by recommended operation deviations or uncontrollable environmental events, users can opt for evaluation via maintenance service or replacement with the same model. A one-year warranty covers the main unit, connectors, and power adapter thereafter.
(3) Product Software Update
Users receive two years of free software updates after product activation. Updates will be charged annually after this period.
(4) Not in the scope of the free warranty
The free warranty does not cover:
- Failures or defects not related to product quality, including misuse, unauthorized disassembly, use of improper accessories, damage from transport/storage, etc.
- Natural wear and tear of the product (cover, keypad, screen, accessories).
- Discrepancies in serial numbers or warranty card numbers, or if quality inspection tags/barcodes are removed or altered.
- Maintenance or modifications performed without OBDSPACE approval.
(5) Product warranty program
For repairs, send the product to a local distributor or OBDSPACE with the purchase certificate and warranty card. Provide company name, contact name, phone number, problem description, and purchase invoice.
Note: The purchase certificate is crucial for warranty service. Obtain a formal invoice from the dealer stating the product name, model number, serial number, and purchase date, bearing the dealer's official seal.
(6) Over-warranty product maintenance regulations
For products requiring repair after the warranty period, OBDSPACE will charge a maintenance fee, and the user will bear the freight. Technical support will provide a maintenance cost estimate via fax. Repairs will proceed after customer confirmation and payment to the designated account.
