Care and Maintenance

Shut off the main power supply before performing any maintenance. Periodically clean the fixture using a mild, non-abrasive glass cleaner and a soft cloth. Do not use solvents or cleaners containing abrasive agents, and do not spray liquid cleaner directly onto the bulb or wiring.

Safety Information

WARNING:

• RATED FOR WET LOCATIONS. This fixture is intended for indoor, damp, or outdoor use.
• Installing a fixture into an electrical system without proper grounding can lead to electrical shock if wires become broken or loose.
• Wire connectors will not support the weight of this fixture. Suspending the fixture by supply wires and connectors can result in the fixture falling, causing personal injury or fire hazards.

CAUTION:

• Do not use bulbs with a wattage greater than the maximum value stated on the fixture.
• Ensure all electrical connections comply with local codes, ordinances, the National Electrical Code, and ANSI/NFPA 70-199. Hire a qualified electrician if you are unfamiliar with electrical wiring installation.
• Turn off electricity at the main fuse box or circuit breaker box before beginning installation.
• All fixtures must be mounted to an outlet box supported by the building structure. Do not attempt to support the fixture by drywall alone, as it may fall and cause personal injury.
• Do not connect the fixture's ground wire (green or bare) to the black (hot) or white (neutral) supply wire.
• Do not connect this fixture to an electrical system that does not provide a means for equipment grounding.

Warranty

Allen + Roth warrants all lighting fixtures against defects in materials and workmanship for three (3) years from the date of purchase. If the product is found to be defective within this period, present a copy of the bill of sale and the product in its original carton to the place of purchase. Allen + Roth will, at its option, repair, replace, or refund the purchase price. Installation and removal costs are the responsibility of the consumer. This warranty does not cover defects due to misuse, accidental damage, or improper handling/installation. Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties, so the above limitations may not apply. This warranty provides specific legal rights, which may vary by state.

Preparation

Before beginning assembly, ensure all parts are present by comparing them with the package contents and hardware lists. Do not attempt assembly if any part is missing or damaged.

Installation Overview

1. Turn OFF the electrical power at the main fuse or circuit breaker.
2. Mount the bracket (B) to the outlet box using screws (AA).
3. Connect the wires: Black fixture wire to black supply wire, white fixture wire to white supply wire, and bare/green fixture wire to bare/green supply wire using wire nuts (D). If unsure about wiring, consult a professional electrician.
4. Attach the lantern fixture (A) to the mounting bracket (B) using screws (C).
5. Install E12-base bulbs (sold separately, 60-watt max) into the fixture sockets.
6. Restore power at the main fuse or circuit breaker.
