First Use Instructions
Before installation and first use, carefully read the 'SAFETY and WARRANTY' and 'ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTION' guides. Ensure all transport protection parts are removed.
Filling the Salt Reservoir
Salt prevents limescale buildup. The salt reservoir must never be empty. It is important to set the water hardness correctly.
- Remove the lower rack and unscrew the reservoir cap (anticlockwise).
- Use the funnel to fill the reservoir with salt until it reaches the top (approx. 1 kg). Some water may leak out.
- For the first use only, fill the salt reservoir with water.
- Remove the funnel and wipe away any salt residue from the opening.
- Ensure the cap is tightly screwed to prevent detergent from entering the water softener, which could cause irreparable damage.
- Run a program without loading the dishwasher immediately after filling the salt reservoir.
Use only salt specifically designed for dishwashers. Failure to fill the salt container may damage the water softener and heating element due to limescale accumulation. Salt is recommended with any type of dishwasher detergent. Always complete the salt filling procedure before starting a wash cycle to prevent corrosion.
Setting the Water Hardness
To ensure the water softener functions correctly, set the water hardness according to your local water supply. The factory default is set for average water hardness.
Procedure:
- Switch the appliance ON using the ON/OFF button.
- Switch the appliance OFF using the ON/OFF button.
- Press and hold the button for 5 seconds until a beep is heard.
- Switch the appliance ON by quickly pressing the ON/OFF button. The current selection level and the salt refill indicator light will flash.
- Press the button to select the desired hardness level (refer to the Water Hardness Table).
- Switch the appliance OFF by pressing the ON/OFF button. Setting is complete.
Water Hardness Table:
Level | °dH (German degrees) | °fH (French degrees) | °Clark (English degrees) |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Soft (0-6) | 0-10 | 0-7 |
2 | Medium (7-11) | 11-20 | 8-14 |
3 | Average (12-16) | 21-29 | 15-20 |
4 | Hard (17-34) | 30-60 | 21-42 |
5 | Very hard (35-50) | 61-90 | 43-62 |
Water Softening System
The water softener automatically reduces water hardness, preventing scale buildup and improving cleaning efficiency. The system regenerates using salt, so the salt container needs refilling when empty. Regeneration frequency depends on the water hardness setting. A single regeneration consumes approximately 3.5 L of water and adds up to 5 minutes to the cycle, using less than 0.005 kWh of energy.
Filling the Rinse Aid Dispenser
Rinse aid aids in drying. Fill the rinse aid dispenser A when the RINSE AID REFILL indicator light is on.
- Open dispenser B by pressing and pulling the tab on the lid.
- Carefully fill with rinse aid up to the maximum mark (110 ml), avoiding spills. Clean any spills immediately with a dry cloth.
- Press the lid down until it clicks shut.
- Never pour rinse aid directly into the tub.
Adjusting Rinse Aid Dosage
If drying results are unsatisfactory, adjust the rinse aid quantity:
- Switch the dishwasher ON using the ON/OFF button.
- Switch the dishwasher OFF using the ON/OFF button.
- Press the button three times until a beep is heard.
- Switch the dishwasher ON using the ON/OFF button. The current selection level and rinse aid indicator light will flash.
- Press the button to select the desired rinse aid level.
- Switch the dishwasher OFF using the ON/OFF button. Setting is complete.
Setting rinse aid to ZERO (ECO) means no rinse aid is dispensed. The LOW RINSE AID indicator will not light up if rinse aid runs out. Up to 5 levels can be set. Factory settings are model-specific. If you see bluish streaks on dishes, set a lower number (1-2). If water drops or limescale marks are present, set a higher number (3-4).
Filling the Detergent Dispenser
Using detergent not designed for dishwashers may cause malfunction or damage. Press button C to open the detergent dispenser. Fill only the dry dispenser D. Place pre-wash detergent directly into the tub.
- Refer to the detergent dosing information for the correct amount. The dispenser D has level indicators.
- Remove any detergent residue from the dispenser edges and close the cover until it clicks.
- Close the detergent dispenser lid by pulling it up until the closing device is secured.
The detergent dispenser opens automatically at the right time. If using all-in-one detergents, use the TABLET button to ensure optimal washing and drying results.

Functions
Flexible Wash
For half loads, use the Flexible Wash function to save water, electricity, and detergent. By default, the appliance washes dishes in all racks. Press the button repeatedly to select washing for specific racks (lower rack only, upper rack only, cutlery rack only, or all racks off).
Delay
Delay the start of the program for 1 to 12 hours. Press the DELAY button to set the delay time. Select the wash program, then press START/PAUSE and close the door within 4 seconds. The timer will count down. The 'h' indicator will switch off when the cycle begins. To adjust or cancel the delay, press the DELAY button repeatedly until the indicator switches off. Delay cannot be set once a cycle has started.
Short Time
Reduces the duration of main programs while maintaining performance. Select a program, press the SHORT TIME button, and the indicator light will turn on. Press again to deactivate.
Extra Dry
Increases the temperature during the final rinse for enhanced drying. Select a program, press the EXTRA DRY button, and the indicator light will turn on. Press again to deactivate. This option increases the cycle duration.
Tablet (Tab)
Press and hold the START/PAUSE button for 3 seconds (the symbol will light up) if using all-in-one detergent tablets (rinse aid, salt, and detergent in one dose). This option should be off if using powder or liquid detergent.
Operation Indicator
A floor-projected LED indicates dishwasher operation. It can be disabled, flash briefly at the start and end of the cycle, or stay on during the cycle and flash at the end (default). The light turns off when the door is opened. To select the preferred mode, switch on the machine, press and hold the button until a letter appears on the display, press the button to cycle through the modes (a, b, or c), and hold the button to confirm.
NaturalDry
This system automatically opens the door during/after the drying phase for optimal drying. The door will not open if the SHORT TIME option is active due to high temperatures. Do not remove crockery immediately after the door opens; wait for proper drying. NaturalDry may not be available for all programs. A special steam protection foil is included. NaturalDry can be disabled by navigating through the Operation Indicator menu.

Loading the Racks
Cutlery Rack
The third rack is designed for cutlery. Arrange cutlery as shown for easier collection and improved washing/drying. Place knives and sharp utensils with blades facing downwards.
Upper Rack
Load delicate and light items like glasses, cups, saucers, and low salad bowls. The upper rack has tip-up supports that can be used vertically for saucers or lowered for bowls and containers.
Adjusting the Height of the Upper Rack
The upper rack height can be adjusted to accommodate larger items in the lower rack or to create more space in the upper rack. Use the Upper Rack Height Adjuster. Lift the rack to the upper position without pressing the levers. To lower it, press the levers on the sides and move the basket down. Do not adjust the height when the rack is loaded, and never adjust one side only.
Foldable Flaps
Side foldable flaps can be adjusted to optimize crockery placement. Wine glasses can be secured by inserting their stems into the designated slots.
Lower Rack
Load pots, lids, plates, salad bowls, and cutlery. Place large plates and lids on the sides to avoid interfering with the spray arm. The lower rack also has tip-up supports that can be used vertically for plates or horizontally for pans and salad bowls.
