Your Razer Blade 14 comes with a 1-year limited manufacturer's warranty and a 1-year limited battery warranty. Maximize your laptop's potential and access exclusive Razer benefits by registering at razerid.razer.com.

3. Setting Up Your Laptop
- Connect the power adapter to a power outlet and then to any of the power ports on your Razer Blade 14. Use the appropriate power cord for your region. For first-time use, please fully charge your Razer Blade 14 or connect it to a power outlet before turning it on. It takes at least 2 hours to fully charge.
- Power on your Razer Blade 14. The power indicator will show the status of your laptop:
- Sleep: [Sleep icon]
- On: [On icon]
- Low battery (10% left): [Red low battery icon]
- Low battery (3% left): [Flashing red low battery icon]
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the Windows 10 setup. It is recommended to connect your laptop to a wireless network with an active internet connection.
4. Installing Drivers
Razer Synapse allows you to download drivers and firmware updates for your Razer Blade 14 and other supported Razer peripherals. It also enables customization of advanced settings and lighting effects. Custom settings are stored in the cloud for access from any computer.
To install drivers:
- Ensure your laptop has an active internet connection.
- By default, Razer Synapse starts automatically upon entering Windows 10. Sign up for a Razer ID or log in with an existing account.
You may also continue as a guest; however, you won't be able to store any of your settings to the cloud. - Wait until Razer Synapse automatically downloads and installs the necessary drivers.
5. Using Your Razer Blade 14
Keyboard Features
Pressing the "fn" key in combination with the function keys activates their secondary functions.

6. Configuring Your Razer Blade 14
Disclaimer: Internet connection is required for installation, updates, and cloud-based features. Registering for a Razer ID account is recommended but optional. Features are subject to change based on software version and connected devices.
Synapse Tab
The Synapse tab is your default tab when you first launch Razer Synapse. The Dashboard subtab provides an overview of your Razer Synapse, allowing access to devices, modules, and online services.
Modules
The Modules subtab displays installed and available modules for installation:
- Chroma Connect: Control center for Chroma-enabled apps and third-party hardware. Sync RGB devices with Razer Chroma.
- Chroma Studio: Create synchronized lighting effects across devices. Manage Chroma-enabled games and programs.
- Chroma Visualizer: Sync Chroma devices with media for an immersive listening experience.
- Hue: Sync Razer Chroma devices with your Philips Hue bridge.
- Macro: Create and execute complex button press sequences.
- Nanoleaf: Configure Nanoleaf light panels and synchronize with Razer Synapse.
Global Shortcuts
Bind operations or Razer Synapse functions to custom key combinations from any Synapse-enabled device inputs. These apply across all device profiles.
Only Razer Synapse-enabled device inputs will be recognized.
System Tab
The System tab allows customization of device profiles, key assignments, gaming mode settings, trackpad options, lighting, and power saving features.
Customize
Modify device key assignments, primary function key option, and gaming mode settings. Options include disabling keys like the Windows key, Alt+Tab, and Alt+F4 when Gaming Mode is active.
Profile
Profiles store your Razer device settings. They can be added, renamed, duplicated, or deleted using the miscellaneous button (⚫⚫⚫).
Gaming Mode
Customize which keys to disable when Gaming Mode is activated.
Hypershift
Hypershift mode provides a secondary set of key assignments activated when the Hypershift key is held down. The Fn key is the default Hypershift key.
Function Key Primary
Switch between primary and secondary key functions. Primary keys activate with a single press; secondary keys require the Fn key.
Trackpad Properties
Adjust scroll behavior, touchpad delay, edit gestures, and access cursor pointing options.
Sidebar
Clicking the Sidebar button (☰) reveals current key assignments.
Key Assignment Functions
When selecting a key assignment, you can change it to one of the following functions:
- Default: Returns the key to its original setting.
- Keyboard Function: Assigns a keyboard function. Turbo mode emulates repeated presses.
- Mouse Function: Assigns a mouse function. Turbo mode emulates repeated presses.
- Macro: Executes prerecorded sequences of keystrokes and button presses. Requires the Macro module.
- Inter-device: Changes the functionality of other Razer Synapse-enabled devices (e.g., adjusting mouse sensitivity).
- Switch Profile: Quickly change profiles and load new key assignments.
- Switch Lighting: Easily switch between lighting effects (requires Chroma Studio).
- Razer Hypershift: Activates Hypershift mode while the key is held down.
- Launch Program: Opens an app or website using the assigned key.
- Multimedia: Assigns multimedia controls to your Razer device.

- Text Function: Types predefined text with a touch of a key, supporting Unicode and special characters.
- Disable: Renders the assigned key unusable.
Lighting
The Lighting subtab allows modification of your Razer device's light settings.
System Lighting
Customize brightness when plugged in and/or on battery. You can turn off lighting or adjust luminance with a slider. The Link option applies a single brightness setting.
Switch Off Lighting
This power-saving tool disables device lighting in response to the system's display turning off, idle time, or when the device's battery level falls below a set percentage.
Quick Effects
A variety of quick effects can be applied to your device's lighting:

Advanced Effects: Choose custom Chroma Effects via the Chroma Studio button (??).
Performance
The Performance subtab optimizes system power usage and screen image smoothness.
Performance Modes
Select modes that adjust system performance, fan speed, and power usage for different tasks.
Screen Refresh Rate
Determines how many times per second an image is updated on the screen; a higher value results in smoother motion.
Color Profile
The laptop is calibrated for accurate colors. Settings can be adjusted using ICC or ICM files.
Profiles Tab
The Profiles tab manages profiles and links them to games and applications.
Devices
View games linked to each device's profiles or Chroma Effects.
Linked Games
Add games, view linked devices, and search for games. Profiles can be set to automatically activate when a linked application runs.
Settings Window
Accessible via the (⚙️) button, the Settings window configures startup behavior, display language, and allows viewing master guides or performing factory resets.
General Tab
Change software display language, startup behavior, theme, and on-screen notifications. Manually sync profiles to the cloud.
Reset Tab
Perform a factory reset on a connected Razer device or Razer Synapse tutorials. ⚠️ By resetting a Razer device, all profiles on the selected device and its on-board memory (if present) will be erased.
About Tab
Displays software information, copyright statements, terms of use, and links for software updates and Razer's social communities.
7. Safety and Maintenance
Safety Guidelines
- If you encounter operating issues, unplug the device and contact Razer support at support.razer.com.
- Do not disassemble the device, as this may void your warranty. Avoid operating under abnormal current loads.
- Keep the device away from liquid, humidity, or moisture. Operate within the temperature range of 0°C (32°F) to 40°C (104°F). Unplug or switch off the device if the temperature exceeds this range.
Comfort
To avoid injury and ensure optimum comfort, follow these guidelines:
- Position your laptop directly in front of you. Place an external mouse next to the laptop, keep elbows at your side, and mouse within easy reach.
- Adjust chair and table height so the laptop is at or below elbow height.
- Keep feet supported, posture straight, and shoulders relaxed.
- During gameplay, keep wrists relaxed and straight. Avoid prolonged bending, extending, or twisting of hands.
- Do not rest wrists on hard surfaces for long periods. Use a wrist rest when gaming with an external mouse.
- Avoid sitting in the same position all day. Get up, step away, and do exercises to stretch arms, shoulders, neck, and legs.
- If you experience discomfort (pain, numbness, tingling), consult a qualified medical doctor immediately.
Battery Warning
The Razer Blade 14 contains an internal, lithium-ion rechargeable battery. Battery life expectancy depends on usage. If you suspect the battery is drained, try charging it. If it does not recharge, it may be non-operational.
⚠️ Do not open, mutilate, or expose to conducting materials (metal), moisture, liquid, fire, or heat. Doing so may cause the battery to leak or explode, resulting in personal injury. Do not use or charge the battery if leaking, discolored, or deformed. Do not leave the rechargeable battery discharged or unused for extended periods. If not using the battery for more than 30 days, store it in a fully charged state. Do not tamper with the battery. Dispose of the used battery according to local regulations.
