Clean regularly, especially when food stocks are low. Use a weak solution of baking soda and water. Rinse with warm water using a wrung-out sponge or cloth. Dry all surfaces and removable parts thoroughly before reassembly.
Manual Defrosting
Frequent opening or leaving the freezer door open may cause frost. If frost is too thick, defrost manually:
- Remove all food and accessories. Unplug the appliance and leave doors open. Ventilate the room to speed up the process.
- Wait for frost to thaw completely (may take hours). Wipe down the interior with a dry cloth or sponge to remove excess moisture.
- Clean removable parts with mild detergent and warm water. Rinse and dry completely.
- Once dry, plug the appliance back in and wait for it to cool to the desired temperature before returning food and accessories.

Troubleshooting
Perform easy checks before calling for service. Do not attempt self-repair.
Problem | Possible Cause & Solution |
---|---|
Appliance is not working correctly | Check power cord connection. Check fuse or power supply circuit. It's normal for the freezer not to operate during defrost or shortly after startup to protect the compressor. |
Odours from the compartments | Clean the interior. Some food, containers, or wrapping may cause odors. |
Noise from the appliance | Normal noises: compressor running, air movement, gurgling, popping (defrosting), clicking (compressor start). Unusual noises: cabinet not level, back touching wall, items rolling. |
The motor runs continuously | Normal if: temperature is set too cold, large quantity of warm food stored, high ambient temperature, doors left open too long/often, or after installation/power off. |
A layer of frost occurs in the compartment | Check air outlets are not blocked by food. Ensure food placement allows ventilation. Ensure door is fully closed. Refer to "Cleaning and care" for frost removal. |
Temperature inside is too warm | Doors may have been left open too long/frequently, an obstacle is preventing closure, or the appliance has insufficient clearance. |
Temperature inside is too cold | Increase the temperature via the controls panel. |
Doors can't be closed easily | Check if the top is tilted back by 10-15mm for self-closing, or if something inside is obstructing closure. |
