Connections

The unit features various ports for connectivity:

• DC IN: Connect the supplied power adapter here.

Operation

Playback

1. Insert a cassette tape into the cassette compartment.
2. Press the PLAY button ▶️.
3. Adjust the volume using the VOLUME knob.
4. To stop, press the STOP button ⏹️.

Recording

1. Insert a blank cassette tape.
2. Connect a sound source (e.g., microphone, external audio device) to the appropriate input.
3. Press the RECORD button ?.
4. Press the PLAY button ▶️ to start recording.
5. Press the STOP button ⏹️ to stop recording.

Power Supply

The unit can be powered by either the supplied AC adapter or by batteries (not included).

• AC Adapter: Connect the adapter to the DC IN jack and a wall outlet.
• Batteries: Open the battery compartment and insert 4 x AA batteries, observing correct polarity.

Troubleshooting

• No sound: Check volume level, headphone connection, and speaker connection. Ensure tape is inserted correctly.
• Poor recording quality: Ensure the tape is in good condition. Clean the tape heads. Check microphone or input source.
• Unit not powering on: Verify AC adapter connection or battery installation and polarity.

Maintenance

Periodically clean the tape heads and pinch roller with a cotton swab lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol to ensure optimal performance.
