How to Download/Install Software on Windows/Mac

This guide provides instructions for downloading and installing the Dahua SmartPSS software on Windows and Mac operating systems.

• Download SmartPSS Software from: https://dahuawiki.com/SmartPSS
• Run and install the software. Agree to the terms and select 'next' throughout the installation process. Avoid changing default options. If you encounter issues, adjust your security settings or virus scanner, or consult your IT Professional.
• Run the program after installation. The default login credentials are: User Name – admin, Password - admin.
• Navigate to 'Devices' under 'Settings'.
• Click 'Manual Add' located at the bottom left.
• Enter a 'Device Name' (e.g., Home, Work).
• Enter the 'SN number'. This can be found on a sticker on the bottom of your CCTV Recorder. The serial number typically starts with 'S/N:' followed by a code similar to '3BPAZXXXXXXXXXX'.
• Enter the 'User Name' (default is 'admin'; use your custom username if changed).
• Enter the 'Password' (default is 'admin'; use your custom password if changed).
• Select 'Get Info'.
• Once the device details are populated, click 'Add'.
• From the main interface, select 'Home Page'.
• To view live camera feeds, select 'LIVEVIEW'.
• In the connection list on the right-hand side, right-click on the desired connection and select 'SubStream'. The camera feed should now appear.
• After finishing your live view session, close the LIVEVIEW window by clicking the small 'X' icon next to the LIVEVIEW tab at the top of the screen.
• To view recorded footage, select 'PLAYBACK' from the HOME PAGE.
• Click the '+' symbol next to the connection on the right-hand side and select the cameras you wish to view.
• In the bottom right-hand section, select the desired start and end date and time, then click 'Search'.
• The timeline will populate with recorded data. You can select any point on the timeline to begin playback.
