Important Safety Information
Observe the following instructions to avoid burns or other injury from fluid leakage, overheating, fire, or explosion.
DANGER
- Use only the dedicated charging cable when charging the battery. Using non-specified items may cause fire, overheating, leakage, or damage to the connected PC.
- Do not get the charging cable wet or touch it with wet hands. This can lead to operational problems or electric shocks.
- Use an AC adapter with a USB port rated at 5.0 V DC and a current of 1.0 A DC or higher. Using an adapter with less than 1.0 A may cause it to overheat, potentially leading to fire, smoke, destruction, electric shock, or burns.
- Do not heat the battery or expose it to flames. This can cause combustion or bursting of the battery.
- Do not use or leave the battery in hot and humid places, such as direct sunlight, a closed vehicle on a hot day, or near a heater. This can cause leakages, overheating, or bursting, leading to fire, burns, or other injuries.
- Do not deform, modify, disassemble, or apply solder directly to the battery. This can cause leakages, overheating, or bursting, leading to fire, burns, or other injuries.
- Do not touch the metal terminals with metal items like hairpins. This can cause short-circuits, overheating, burns, or other injuries.
WARNING
- Do not disassemble or modify the product. This may cause it to malfunction, leading to sudden falls and serious injury.
- When connecting or disconnecting USB or charging cables, always hold the plug. Failure to do so may cause fire or electric shock.
- If you observe the following symptoms, stop using the device and contact your place of purchase, as fire or electric shock may occur:
- Power plug is hot, smells acrid, or is emitting smoke.
- There is a bad connection inside the power plug.
- If thunder occurs while charging with a USB AC adapter, do not touch the device, bicycle, or adapter. Lightning strikes may cause electric shocks.
- Do not use a USB hub when connecting to a PC USB port. This can cause charging errors or fires due to overheating.
- Be careful not to damage the charging cable. Avoid damaging, processing, bending, twisting, pulling, bringing near hot objects, placing heavy objects on, or tightly bundling the cable. Damaged cables can cause fire, electric shocks, or short-circuits.
- If the battery does not fully charge after 4 hours, stop charging. Continued charging may cause fire, bursting, ignition, or overheating.
- Do not immerse this product in fresh or seawater, or allow terminals to get wet. This can cause fire, bursting, ignition, or overheating.
- Do not throw or subject this product to strong shocks. This may cause bursting, overheating, or operational problems.
- Do not use the battery if leakages, discoloration, deformation, or other abnormalities occur. This may cause bursting, overheating, or operational problems.
- Clean the chain and QUICK-LINK regularly with an appropriate chain cleaner. Maintenance intervals depend on usage and riding conditions. Never use alkali-based or acid-based solvents like rust cleaners, as they can cause the chain or QUICK-LINK to break, leading to serious injury.
- Check the chain for damage (deformation, cracking), skipping, or other abnormalities like unintended gear shifting. If problems are found, consult your place of purchase or a distributor. The chain may break, causing a fall.
CAUTION
- Store in a safe place out of reach of small children to prevent accidental ingestion.
- Do not let grease adhere to the metal terminals, as this may result in conduction failure.
- Do not leave the charging cable connected when performing maintenance.
- This equipment has been tested and complies with FCC Rules Part 15 for Class B digital devices, designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in residential installations. It generates, uses, and radiates radio frequency energy. If not installed and used per instructions, it may cause harmful interference to radio communications. No guarantee of no interference in a particular installation. If interference occurs, try correcting it by:
- Reorienting or relocating the receiving antenna.
- Increasing separation between equipment and receiver.
- Connecting equipment to a different circuit than the receiver.
- Consulting the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician.
- This device complies with FCC Rules Part 15. Operation is subject to two conditions: (1) it may not cause harmful interference, and (2) it must accept any received interference, including that which may cause undesired operation.
Regular Inspections Before Riding
Before riding, check the following items. If any problems are found, consult your place of purchase or a distributor.
- Are the fastening sections fixed securely?
- Is there sufficient charge remaining in the battery?
- Is there any noticeable damage to the electric wires?
- Is gear shifting carried out smoothly?
- Has excess play increased in the links?
- Has excess play increased in the pulleys?
- Are there any abnormal noises coming from the derailleur?
- Has the chain become elongated?
- Is there any noticeable damage on the chain?
