Getting Started
- Turn the power switch on the back of the chair to Off. Wait approximately five seconds, then turn it back On.
- Wait 30 seconds for a system check to complete, then verify if the problem persists.
- If the problem continues, consult the following table to identify the issue:
Issue to Troubleshoot | Recommended Action |
---|---|
There is no movement on the chair when powered on | The backrest massage mechanism and the foot and calf massager paddles should move upon powering on the chair. If they do not, refer to the "Power" section. |
My remote control is not working | Refer to the "Remote" section. |
My backrest is not massaging properly | If the Percussion, Compression, Kneading, or Rolling massage functions are not working correctly, replace the backrest. If the Stretch feature is not working properly, ensure the Stretch button is pressed and held until the chair beeps twice (this indicates the chair is preparing for the Stretch function, which takes several seconds). |
My backrest won't recline/incline | Confirm that the recline or incline button is pressed and held for at least five seconds, as it can take several seconds for the actuator to engage. If the issue persists, the backrest actuator may be faulty and require replacement. |
My foot and calf massager is not massaging properly | Refer to the "Foot and Calf Massager" section. |
My foot and calf massager won't raise/lower | Refer to the "Foot and Calf Massager" section. |
My chair won't swivel or the pedestal is broken | Replace the chair. |
Power Issues
Step 1: Check the power cord
Verify that the power cord connection to the power panel is secure and that the cord is not damaged. If the power cord is damaged, replace the backrest cover.
IMPORTANT: Before replacing the backrest cover, note the serial number located on the backrest cover. The serial number will not be available on the chair after the cover is replaced.
Step 2: Check the wall outlet
Plug a different device into the AC outlet used by the chair. If the other device does not receive power, the outlet itself may be faulty. Try plugging the chair into a different AC outlet to confirm it receives power.
Step 3: If the chair is still not receiving power, replace the backrest.
A recent electrical surge may have damaged the main circuit board. Replace the backrest.
IMPORTANT: If replacing the backrest, ensure the serial number on the backrest cover is noted beforehand, as it will be lost after replacement.
Remote Control Issues
Remote control LEDs do not light, but the function works:
The remote control may not be functioning correctly. Verify that the remote control cable connection to the backrest cover is secure. If this does not resolve the issue, replace the remote control.
Remote control LEDs light, but the function does not work:
The problem is likely with the function controlled by the remote, not the remote itself. Refer to the "Getting Started" section and locate the specific non-functioning feature in the troubleshooting table.
Foot and Calf Massager Issues
Foot and calf massager hesitates when changing direction:
This behavior is due to gear shifting and is considered normal.
Foot and calf massager will not raise or lower:
- Press the foot and calf button on the remote control and wait 30 seconds.
- Perform one of the following actions:
- If the foot and calf massager does not activate, and all associated LEDs flash after 30 seconds, replace the backrest. DEALER NOTE: Consider replacing the choke coil instead of the entire backrest assembly.
- If a clicking sound is heard and the foot and calf massager actuator emits a humming sound, the foot and calf massager bracket might be positioned too high within the chair seat. This can be corrected by removing the front foot and calf actuator hinge pin, allowing the bracket to swing down to its proper position, and then reinstalling the hinge pin. Consult the Foot and Calf Massager Actuator repair instructions for detailed guidance. If this procedure does not resolve the problem, replace the foot and calf massager actuator.
Foot and calf massager massages only on one side:
Replace the chair.
Foot and calf massager paddles do not move and all LEDs flash when the button is pressed:
- If the serial number is prior to A21061221, replace the backrest. DEALER NOTE: Consider replacing the choke coil instead of the complete backrest.
- If the serial number is after A21061221, replace the chair.
