This section provides an overview of the MCHOSE UT98 Mechanical Keyboard.
Mode Switch
The keyboard features a 3-position mode switch located on the bottom or side:
- Top position (2.4G): Indicates 2.4GHz wireless mode.
- Middle position (B): Indicates Bluetooth wireless mode.
- Bottom position (OFF): Indicates USB wired mode.
Indicator Lights
The keyboard includes several indicator lights:
- Caps Lock Indicator: Illuminates when Caps Lock is active, indicating uppercase letters are enabled.
- Win Key Indicator: Illuminates when the Windows key is locked, disabling its function to prevent accidental presses during gaming or other activities.
- Num Lock Indicator Light: Standard indicator for the numeric keypad.

Connection Modes
The MCHOSE UT98 supports multiple connection modes:
2.4G Wireless Connection
To connect using 2.4G wireless:
- Switch the mode toggle to the 2.4G position.
- Remove the USB receiver from its storage slot on the keyboard.
- Plug the USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
- Manual Pairing (if needed): The keyboard is typically pre-paired from the factory. If pairing is lost, press and hold the Fn key and the ~ key for 3 seconds until the indicator light flashes rapidly. Then, insert the receiver into the computer's USB port. The indicator light will remain solid for 2 seconds upon successful connection.
Wired Connection
To connect using USB wired mode:
- Switch the mode toggle to the OFF position.
- Plug the Type-C end of the provided USB cable into the keyboard's Type-C port.
- Plug the standard USB end of the cable into an available USB port on your computer. The keyboard will be ready for use.
BT Wireless Connection
To connect using Bluetooth wireless mode:
- Switch the mode toggle to the B position.
- Press and hold the Fn key and the 1 (!) key for 3 seconds to initiate pairing. The indicator light will flash rapidly during pairing.
- The keyboard's pairing name is [MCHOSE UT98].
- To switch between paired devices, use the key combinations: Fn + 1 (!), Fn + 2 (@), or Fn + 3 (#).

Web Driver
Access the online hub via your web browser:

Open the link, click "MCHOSE WEB HUB", and then select "Allow Browser Access" when prompted. Choose your product model from the list to connect.
Desktop Driver
Download and install the MCHOSE HUB desktop driver:

Note: The desktop software driver is only compatible with Windows systems.
FN Combination Key Functions
The Fn key, when pressed in combination with other keys, unlocks a range of functions.
Lighting Functions
Control keyboard lighting effects using the following combinations:

Access multimedia controls and system functions using the Fn key combined with F1-F12.

Mac System / iOS System / Android System
Note: When switching to Mac/iOS mode from Windows, the Win and Left Alt keys will swap functions, and the F1-F12 keys will default to multimedia functions.
In Mac/iOS mode, the ALT key functions as the Command key, and Fn + F1-F12 inputs the standard F1-F12 functions.

Power Management
This section covers battery status, charging, and sleep functions.
Battery Status
In 2.4G or Bluetooth wireless mode (without USB connection), press Fn + B to display the keyboard's battery level.
- The ambient light bar provides a visual indication: a full green light signifies high battery level, while a full red light indicates low battery level. As the battery drains, the green indicator decreases.
Charging Method
To charge the keyboard:
- In any mode, connect the keyboard to a computer using the provided USB data cable.
- During charging, the ambient light bar will display a flowing light effect. Once fully charged, it will remain solid with a green light.
Sleep Function
In wireless (Bluetooth/2.4G) mode, the keyboard will automatically enter a power-saving mode after one minute of inactivity. Press any key to wake it up.
Important Notices
Charging Instructions
The following charging instructions apply to this keyboard and other rechargeable devices (keyboards, mice, headsets, speakers, etc.):
- It is recommended to charge the keyboard only via the computer's USB port.
- Do not use fast-charging phone chargers to charge the keyboard.
- Do not use low-quality, non-standard power adapters to charge the keyboard.
- Do not use over-voltage or over-current power adapters to charge the keyboard.
- Keep the keyboard away from high-temperature devices during charging.
- Turn off the power switch when the keyboard is not in use for an extended period.
FCC Compliance
Notice: This device has been tested and complies with the limits for Class B digital devices under Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in residential installations. This device generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy, and if not installed and used under the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications.
