Installation

Warnings:

• Installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician in accordance with local regulations.
• Keep the device out of the reach of children.
• Keep the device away from water, damp, or hot environments.
• Install the device away from strong signal sources such as microwave ovens, which may cause signal interruption and abnormal operation.
• Obstructions by concrete walls or metallic materials may reduce the effective operation range and should be avoided.
• Do NOT attempt to disassemble, repair, or modify the device.

Steps:

1. Turn off the power supply before carrying out any electrical installation work.
2. Connect wires according to the wiring diagram.
3. Insert the module into the junction box.
4. Connect the power supply and follow the switch module configuration instructions.

Notes: Put your smartphone close to the switch module when configuring, and ensure you have at least 50% Wi-Fi signal.

Q1: What should I do if I can't configure the switch module?

• Please check if the device is powered on.
• Ensure your mobile and switch module are under the same 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
• Verify good internet conditions.
• Make sure the password entered in the App is correct.
• Confirm the wiring is correct.

Q2: What devices can be connected to this Wi-Fi switch module?

Most household electrical appliances can be connected, such as lamps, laundry machines, coffee makers, etc.

Q3: What happens if the Wi-Fi goes off?

You can still control the connected device using your traditional switch. Once Wi-Fi is active again, the device will automatically reconnect to your Wi-Fi network.

Q4: What should I do if I change the Wi-Fi network or password?

You need to re-connect the Wi-Fi switch module to the new Wi-Fi network according to the App User Manual.

Manual Override

The switch module terminal allows for manual override function for the end-user to switch the connected device on or off.

• Switch on/off for permanent on/off function.

Notes:

• Both adjustments made via the App and the manual switch are synchronized, and the last adjustment remains in memory.
• App control is synchronized with the manual switch.

App User Manual: Pairing and Configuration

iOS App / Android App: Scan the QR code to download the Smart Life App, or search for "Smart Life" in the App Store or Google Play.

User Account and Family Setup:

1. Log in or register your account using your mobile number or email address.
2. Enter the verification code sent to your mobile or mailbox, then set your login password.
3. Click "Create Family" to enter the App.

Wi-Fi Link Method (Two Pairing Methods):

Complete the wiring of the switch module before pairing.

Method One: Pair and Clear Wi-Fi Code (Bluetooth and Wi-Fi Connected - New Updated)

1. Ensure your phone is connected to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
2. Open the Smart Life/Tuya App and tap "+". The prompt page will automatically appear. Tap "Go to add".
3. Select the device you want to add and tap "+".
4. Enter your Wi-Fi password and tap "Next", then wait for the connection to complete.
5. The device is added successfully. You can edit the device name and enter the device page by tapping "Done".

Method Two: Pair with Traditional Pairing Method

After wiring the switch module, press the traditional switch to enter pairing mode:

1. Open the App, select "+" on the top right, and choose "Switch (Wi-Fi)" to add the device.
2. Confirm the indicator blinks rapidly (twice a second). Ensure your smartphone and the Wi-Fi+RF switch module are on the same 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
3. The connection process will take approximately 10-120 seconds, depending on your network conditions.

How to Reset Wi-Fi Code:

• For Reset Switch: Press the switch button 10 times until you hear continuous, rapid beeps (Di-Di-Di...).
• For Rocker Light Switch: Press the switch button 20 times (cycling ON/OFF 10 times) until you hear continuous, rapid beeps (Di-Di-Di...).
• For Switch Module: Long press the reset button on the module until you hear two beeps (Di-Di), then continue pressing until you hear continuous, rapid beeps (Di-Di-Di...).

Note: This Wi-Fi+RF switch module is compatible with both rocker light switches and reset switches. Pay attention to the different pairing modes.

Multi-Control Association:

To achieve multi-control association (controlling one light with multiple switches):

1. Ensure the Wi-Fi link method has been successfully completed for adding the switch to your Smart Life App.
2. Add another smart switch to the same Smart Life/Tuya App. Wiring for this new switch only requires connecting L and N terminals; it does not need to be wired to the light itself.
3. In the App, select the main switch (e.g., a one-gang switch).
4. Tap the upper-right corner, choose "Multi-Control Association", and then tap "+" in the right corner.
5. Select the switch you want to associate and choose the specific switch button that will control the same light.
6. Return to the previous page; you will see your main switch and the newly associated switch. Ensure the associated switch is enabled.
7. Now, you can control your light with two switches. Do not associate another button on the same switch for multi-control. Repeat steps to add more switches.
