Thank you for purchasing a Panasonic Air Conditioner. Installation instructions are attached. Before operating the unit, read these operating instructions thoroughly and keep them for future reference.Model Numbers

Quick Guide
Inserting the batteries
- Pull out the back cover of the remote control.
- Insert AAA or R03 batteries (can be used for approximately 1 year).
- Close the cover.
Clock setting
- Press CLOCK.
- Set the time.
- Confirm.
Basic operation
- Select the desired mode: AUTO (for convenience), HEAT (for warm air), COOL (for cool air), DRY (to dehumidify), FAN (to circulate air).
- Start/stop the operation: Press the POWER button. The OFF indication is ON to start.
- Select the desired temperature: Range is 16°C to 30°C (not applicable for FAN mode). Operating within recommended temperatures can save energy. For HEAT, 20°C-24°C; for COOL, 26°C-28°C; for DRY, 1°C-2°C lower than room temperature. The range can be customized by consulting an authorized dealer.
To dim or restore the unit's indicator brightness, press and hold for 5 seconds. Use the remote control within 8 meters of the indoor unit's receiver.

Indoor unit and outdoor unit
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless supervised.
- Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
- Consult an authorized dealer or specialist for cleaning internal parts, repair, installation, removal, and reinstallation. Improper handling can cause leakage, electric shock, or fire.
- Confirm the specified refrigerant type with an authorized dealer. Using an incorrect type may cause product damage, burst, or injury.
- Do not install in potentially explosive or flammable atmospheres.
- Do not insert fingers or other objects into the unit; rotating parts can cause injury.
- Do not touch the outdoor unit during lightning to avoid electric shock.
- Do not expose yourself directly to cold air for extended periods.
- Do not sit or step on the unit.
Remote control
- Do not allow infants and small children to play with the remote control to prevent accidental swallowing of batteries.
Power supply
- Do not use modified, joint, extension, or unspecified cords to prevent overheating and fire.
- Do not share the same power outlet with other equipment.
- Do not operate with wet hands.
- Do not overbend the power supply cord.
- Do not operate or stop the unit by inserting or pulling out the power plug.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, service agent, or similarly qualified persons.
- It is strongly recommended to install with an Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker (ELCB) or Residual Current Device (RCD).
- Insert the power plug properly. Periodically wipe dust from the power plug with a dry cloth.
- If any abnormality occurs, disconnect the power plug or turn off the power switch and breaker. Symptoms include: ELCB trips frequently, burning smell, abnormal noise/vibration, water leaks, hot power cord/plug, uncontrolled fan speed, unit stops immediately, fan does not stop when operation is stopped. Contact your local dealer for maintenance/repair.
- This equipment must be earthed.
- Prevent electric shock by switching off power and unplugging before cleaning, servicing, extended non-use, or during strong lightning.
Indoor unit and outdoor unit (Additional Precautions)
- Do not wash the indoor unit with water, benzine, thinner, or scouring powder.
- Do not use for preservation of precise equipment, food, animals, plants, or artwork.
- Do not use combustible equipment in front of the airflow outlet.
- Do not expose plants or pets directly to airflow.
- Do not touch sharp aluminum fins.
- Do not operate the unit when waxing the floor; aerate the room properly afterward.
- Do not install in oily or smoky areas.
- Do not dismantle the unit for cleaning.
- Do not step on unstable benches when cleaning.
- Do not place water containers on the unit.
- Do not leave windows or doors open for extended periods during COOL/DRY mode.
- Ensure the drainage pipe is properly connected, clear of obstructions, and not immersed in water.
- Aerate the room regularly after prolonged use or use with combustible equipment.
- Ensure the installation rack is secure to prevent the unit from falling.
Remote control (Additional Precautions)
- Do not use rechargeable (Ni-Cd) batteries.
- Remove batteries if the unit will not be used for a long period.
- Use new batteries of the same type, observing polarity.
Power supply (Additional Precautions)
- Do not disconnect the plug by pulling the cord.
How to use
Modes
- MODE: To select operation mode.
- POWERFUL: To reach temperature quickly. Stops automatically after 20 minutes.
- QUIET: To enjoy quiet operation. Reduces airflow noise.
- ECONOMY: To save electrical power consumption. Adjusts set temperature up to 3°C automatically in unoccupied rooms. Dimms all indicators.
- AIR SWING: To adjust vertical airflow direction. In COOL/DRY mode with AUTO set, the louver swings up/down automatically. Do not adjust by hand.
Remote control functions
- Remote control display: Shows current settings.
- Remote control receiver and indicator: POWER (Green), TIMER (Orange), QUIET/ECONOMY (Orange), POWERFUL (Orange).
- Press and hold for approximately 10 seconds to show temperature setting in °C or °F.
- Press to restore the remote control to default setting.
- FAN SPEED: To select fan speed. For AUTO, the indoor fan speed is automatically adjusted.
Auto OFF/ON button
Use when the remote control is misplaced or malfunctioning. Raise the front panel:
- AUTO mode: Press the button once.
- COOL mode: Press and hold until 1 beep, then release.
- HEAT mode: Press and hold until 1 beep, then release. Press again until 2 beeps are heard, then release.
- Press the button again to turn off.
Setting the timer
Two sets of ON and OFF timers are available.
- Select ON or OFF timer: Press TIMER, then ON or OFF, and select timer 1 or 2.
- Set the time: Use the adjustment buttons.
- Confirm: Press SET.
To cancel a timer, press ON or OFF to select the timer, then press CANCEL. If a timer is cancelled manually or due to power failure, it can be restored by selecting the timer and pressing SET. The nearest timer setting will be displayed and activate in sequence. When ON Timer is set, the unit may start up to 35 minutes earlier to achieve the desired temperature on time. Timer operation is based on the clock set in the remote control and repeats daily. Refer to the Quick guide for clock setting.
Note: QUIET/ECONOMY can be activated in all modes and cancelled by pressing the respective button. They cannot be selected at the same time.

Operation mode details

- HEAT: Unit takes time to warm up. POWER indicator blinks. Use curtains to block sunlight and outdoor heat to reduce power consumption.
- COOL: Unit operates at low fan speed for gentle cooling.
- DRY: Unit operates at low fan speed for gentle cooling.
- FAN: Circulates air in the room.

Cleaning instructions
To ensure optimal performance, clean at regular intervals. Dirty units may cause malfunction (e.g., error code “H99”). Consult an authorized dealer.
- Switch off power and unplug before cleaning.
- Do not touch aluminum fins; sharp parts may cause injury.
- Do not use benzine, thinner, or scouring powder. Use mild soap (pH 7) or neutral household detergent. Do not use water hotter than 40°C.
Indoor unit
- Wipe the unit gently with a soft, dry cloth.
Front panel
- Remove the front panel by raising it and pulling it out.
- Close it securely by inserting both sides and pressing both ends.
Air filters (Every 2 weeks)
- Wash/rinse filters gently with water.
- Dry filters thoroughly under shade, away from fire or direct sunlight.
- Replace any damaged filters.
Anti-bacterial filter
- Clean the filter whenever necessary.
- Wash/rinse gently with water.
- Dry thoroughly under shade, away from fire or direct sunlight.

For seasonal inspection after extended non-use
- Check remote control batteries.
- Ensure air inlet and outlet vents are unobstructed.
- Use Auto OFF/ON button to select COOL/HEAT operation. After 15 minutes, check temperature difference between air inlet and outlet vents: COOL: ≥ 8°C, HEAT: ≥ 14°C.
For extended non-use
- Activate HEAT mode for 2-3 hours to remove moisture to prevent mold growth.
- Turn off power supply and unplug.
- Remove remote control batteries.
Troubleshooting
Symptoms not indicating malfunction
- Mist emerges from indoor unit: Condensation effect during cooling.
- Water flowing sound: Refrigerant flow.
- Peculiar odour: Damp smell from walls, carpets, furniture, or clothing. Helps remove surrounding odour.
- Indoor fan stops occasionally: Extraction of remaining heat from the indoor unit (max 30 seconds).
- Airflow continues after operation stops: Delay is a protection to the unit's compressor.
- Outdoor unit emits water/steam: Condensation or evaporation on pipes.
- TIMER indicator always on: Timer setting repeats daily.
- POWER indicator blinks during HEAT mode (no warm air, louver closed): Unit is in defrost mode (AIR SWING set to AUTO).
- Indoor fan stops during heating: To avoid unintended cooling.
- POWER indicator blinks before unit is switched on: Preliminary step for ON timer operation.
- Cracking sound: Temperature changes causing expansion/contraction.
- POWER indicator blinks (3s ON, 0.5s OFF): Unit is in Demand Response Mode.
Check before calling for servicing
- Operation not efficient in HEAT/COOL: Check temperature setting, close doors/windows, clean/replace filters, clear vent obstructions, check installation incline, close front panel.
- Noisy operation: Check installation incline, close front panel.
- Remote control not working (dim display/weak signal): Insert batteries correctly, replace weak batteries.
- Unit not working: Check circuit breaker, check timers.
- Unit not receiving signal from remote control: Ensure receiver is unobstructed. Certain fluorescent lights may interfere; consult dealer.
Non-serviceable criteria
Turn off power supply and unplug. Consult authorized dealer if:
- Abnormal noise during operation.
- Water/foreign particles in remote control.
- Water leaks from indoor unit.
- Circuit breaker trips frequently.
- Power cord becomes abnormally hot.
- Switches or buttons not functioning properly.
Error code retrieval
The unit stops and the TIMER indicator blinks. Use the remote control to retrieve the error code:
- Press [ON] for 5 seconds.
- Press [TIMER] until you hear a beep, then write down the error code.
- Press [ON] for 5 seconds to quit checking.
- Turn the unit off and reveal the error code to the authorized dealer.
For certain errors, restarting the unit may allow limited operation with 4 beeps when operation starts.
