Thule XT Kit 3141 Instructions

Important Information

This kit is only for vehicles with fixpoint mounting.

Speed Limits:

Recommended maximum speed: 130 km/h (80 Mph)
Maximum speed with sunroof open: 40 km/h (25 Mph)
Maximum speed with load: 80 km/h (50 Mph)

Installation Steps

Step 1: Identify Mounting Points

Locate the four mounting points on the vehicle roof. The diagram indicates Front-Left (FL), Front-Right (FR), Rear-Left (RL), and Rear-Right (RR) positions.

Step 2: Prepare the Feet

Attach the appropriate parts (10 and 54) to the roof rack feet as shown in the diagram.

Step 3: Attach Feet to Vehicle

A. Using a screwdriver, attach the mounting strip to the vehicle's roof mounting points.

B. Insert screws and tighten them.

C. Place the mounting plate onto the vehicle's roof rail.

D. Secure the mounting plate with screws. Ensure a torque of 3 Nm.

Step 4: Secure the Cross-Bars

A. Attach the roof rack feet to the cross-bars.

B. Use the provided 16 mm screws (x8) to secure the feet.

C. Tighten the screws to 6 Nm.

Step 5: Final Checks and Safety

Ensure all parts are correctly installed and tightened. Refer to the safety instructions provided with the kit.

Important Safety Information:

Always check the torque of the screws after driving a short distance (50 km / 30 miles).
Ensure the load is evenly distributed and securely fastened.
Adhere to the specified speed limits.
