Introduction
This guide provides information for the iLive ISB182 Portable Wireless Speaker.
Controls Overview
The speaker features several controls:
- Pair button: Press and hold to begin connecting a Bluetooth device.
- Volume buttons (+/-): Press and hold to increase or decrease the volume.
- Play/Pause button: Press to play or pause audio playback.
- On/Off switch: Adjust the switch to turn the unit on or off. Always ensure it is switched to the OFF position when not in use.
The speaker also includes a Pairing Indicator light, which flashes blue quickly during pairing and shows a solid blue light when successfully connected.
A built-in Stand is provided for positioning the speaker.

Power
USB Power
The speaker requires a Micro USB to USB cable (included) for charging. During the initial charge, continue charging for at least 2 hours after the battery indicator light turns green. Note: The connected PC must not be in sleep mode during charging.

Connecting and Playing Audio
Pairing a Bluetooth Device
- Turn on the unit using the On/Off switch. The Pairing Indicator will flash blue quickly.
- Press and hold the Pair button until a beep sounds. Remain within 3 feet of the unit while pairing.
- Using your Bluetooth device's settings, select "ISB182" to pair. If prompted for a password, enter "0000". Refer to your device's manual for specific pairing instructions.
- When successfully paired and connected, the Pairing Indicator will display a solid blue light and a beep will sound from the unit. The unit will remain paired unless manually unpaired.
Playing Audio Wirelessly
- Follow the instructions for Pairing a Bluetooth Device.
- Use your connected Bluetooth device's controls to select a track.
- To play, pause, or skip tracks, use your Bluetooth device's controls or press the Play/Pause button on the unit.
- Audio played through the connected Bluetooth device will be heard through the speakers.
- Press and hold the Volume (+/-) buttons to adjust the volume.
Using the Line Input
- Plug one end of a 3.5 mm audio input cable (not included) into the Line Input on the unit.
- Plug the other end of the cable into the audio output/headphone output of your MP3 Player or other audio source.
- Turn on the unit using the On/Off switch.
- Audio played through the connected device will be heard through the speakers. Note: Any audio playing via Bluetooth will cease once the 3.5mm audio source is connected.
Warnings and Precautions
- WARNING: To prevent fire or shock hazards, do not expose this unit to rain or moisture.
- WARNING: Do not place the unit on soft, porous, or sensitive surfaces without a protective barrier to avoid damaging the surface.
- WARNING: Ensure the mains plug or appliance coupler, used as the disconnect device, remains readily operable.
- Note: This device uses an internal rechargeable lithium-ion battery designed for the device's lifetime. If the battery appears dead after multiple charging attempts, contact support at 1-888-999-4215.
- Never disassemble the unit or attempt to remove the battery, as this could cause leakage of an electrolytic substance.
