JAVISCAM Quick Guide

Important Notice

• For real-time monitoring or cloud storage, keep the device in a strong WiFi area.
• Increased motion detection events consume more power. A fully charged camera can operate for approximately 3 months with minimal motion triggers.
• Enable phone notifications in your device's settings to receive alarm alerts.
• Memory Card Usage: Format the memory card before its first use. Insert the card only when the camera is powered OFF. After WiFi setup via the app, the camera will function according to its settings even if disconnected from WiFi.
• Cloud Storage: Contact JAVISCAM via email to receive FREE cloud storage.
• This camera is designed for indoor home security use only and is not waterproof. Prolonged exposure to daylight's ultraviolet light may cause dark colors in the image to appear purple.

Free APP Download & Account Setup

Scan the QR code provided or search for "UBox" in your mobile app store (iOS or Android) to download the application. The software does not support computer (PC) use.

APP Account: After downloading the app, please register for a UBox account. It is recommended to use your frequently used email address for enhanced account security and customer service.

Device Overview: Buttons & Card Slots

The camera features the following:

• Micro SD Card Slot: For local storage.
• RESET Button: Used for resetting the device.
• USB Micro USB Port: For power connection.
• Power Switch: To turn the device ON or OFF.

Indicator Light Status

• Blue light flashing: Indicates the device is in setup mode, ready for WiFi connection.
• Blue light solid on: The device is successfully connected to WiFi.
• Blue light and red light both on: The device is currently resetting.
• Green light on: The device is charging.
• Green light off: The device is not charging or is fully charged.

WiFi Connection Guide

Follow these steps to connect your camera to WiFi:

1. Tap the [+ Add Device button].
2. Select "Setup WiFi Device".
3. Power on your camera. Wait for the blue indicator LED to flash, or listen for the voice prompt "The camera is now ready to begin pairing." If the blue light is not flashing, press and hold the RESET button on the back of the camera for 3 seconds to reset it. Then, tap "Yes" to proceed.
4. Assign a name to your new camera and tap "Next".
5. Enter your WiFi network name and password. Ensure your phone is connected to the same WiFi network.
6. Use the camera lens to scan the QR code displayed on your phone's screen. Keep the phone a few inches away from the camera.
7. Wait for the app to complete the connection process.

Important Note: This device does not support 5GHz WiFi networks. Please ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi network before proceeding. Increase your phone's volume for better audio transmission during setup.

Installation Recommendations

The adhesive 3M tape on the camera holder may not provide sufficient security on rough walls, wooden surfaces, or windows. For a more robust installation, it is recommended to use the provided screws to securely mount the camera.

The camera can be detached from its holder for convenient charging.

Device List Interface

This screen displays all the devices you have added. You can see their online status and add new devices.

• Device: Lists your connected cameras.
• Online Status: Indicates if the device is currently connected.
• [+ Add Device button]: For adding more cameras.

Device Interface

Access the live view of your camera, review recorded motion detection videos, and configure important settings from this interface.

Key Features & Controls:

• Live View: Tap the preview image to enter the full-screen live view.
• HD Toggle: Switch between high-definition and standard-definition video quality.
• Screenshot: Capture a still image from the live feed.
• Microphone: [Microphone icon] (Note: Microphone functionality may not be supported on all models).
• Manual Night Vision Switch: Control night vision mode manually.
• Audio Toggle: Turn audio monitoring on or off.
• Cloud Video: Access recorded footage stored in the cloud.
• Album: View locally recorded videos saved to the memory card.
• Record Live Video: Manually start recording the current live stream.

Recorded Videos: View a list of motion detection events with timestamps, including the date and time of recording.

Some Important Settings

• Motion Detection: Enable this feature under "Detection sensitivity" to have the camera automatically record when motion is detected.
• Motion Detection Schedule: Configure a specific schedule for motion detection activation within the "Arming setting".
• Video Length: Adjust the duration of recordings per motion event in "Sleep delay". Setting this to "Always" enables continuous video recording.
• Night Vision: Select "Normal" for automatic night vision adjustment based on light conditions, or choose "Night vision mode" for manual control via the live view interface.
