Rated Voltage 220-240V~50Hz
Thank you for purchasing this quality Lucci product. To ensure correct function and safety, please read and follow all instructions carefully before using the product. Please keep instructions for future reference.
This remote controller is designed to control your ceiling fan speed and light. There are 4 buttons (HI, MED, LOW, OFF) to control the fan speed and one button to control light on/off.
The product includes a receiver (controller) and a transmitter (remote). The receiver is a rectangular white box, approximately 7cm x 5cm x 2.5cm, with wiring terminals and internal components visible. It is labeled "RHINE ELECTRONIC CO, LTD. CEILING FAN REMOTE CONTROL MODEL: UC7076RY" and specifies AC 240V/50Hz input, Motor Ceiling Fan Only, Max. 0.5A, Light: Non-Dimmer, Tungsten Max 300W, Ballast (CFL) Max 100VA, LED Driver Max. 100VA, MADE IN CHINA. The transmitter is an elongated, white, handheld remote control with five distinct buttons: HI, MED, LOW, OFF, and a light symbol button.
Before carrying out the installation the following must be considered:
Note: The DIP switch assembly has 4 switches which can be setup to 16 different transmitting code combinations. This is practical when there is more than 1 remote/receiver pair operating locally or in the same room.
Note: To access the receiver DIP switches, remove the DIP Switch cover.
The remote control's battery compartment shows two slots for AAA batteries, with polarity markings. The receiver features a DIP switch panel with four small switches. An example diagram illustrates DIP switch settings for Receiver 1 (0111) and Receiver 2 (0100), and corresponding Transmitter 1 (0111) and Transmitter 2 (0100) settings, emphasizing that transmitter and receiver DIP switches must match for pairing.
Use the wire nut (terminal block) provided for making connections.
A wiring diagram illustrates the connections for a 220-240VAC supply. The diagram shows LIVE and NEUTRAL supply wires connecting to the RECEIVER (control unit). The GROUND CONDUCTOR (GREEN/YELLOW) connects to the supply EARTH wire. Inside the receiver, AC IN L connects to AC L supply, AC IN N connects to AC N supply. Outputs from the receiver include TO MOTOR L, TO MOTOR N, and FOR LIGHT. These connect to the fan's male plug (from fan) which has corresponding wires: BROWN (to motor L), BLACK (to motor N), BLUE (for light), and GREEN/YELLOW (earth). A terminal block on the mounting bracket facilitates these connections.
Note: Fan installation must be complete including assembly of blades before operating the remote control.
Note: This remote control is only suitable where the controller/receiver can be inserted inside the canopy cover safely and securely. Ceiling fan with mount bracket type shown in a diagram (receiver placed inside canopy) would be suitable.
Note: The controller wiring circuit must NOT be shared with any electrical equipment that is sensitive to voltage fluctuation, such as infrared sensor lights.
DO NOT use the wiring of the controller, other than for the purpose of supplying power into the controller and connections to the equipment that is under control. Any outside wiring connections which are not part of the controller/controlled circuit, may affect the operation of the controller and will void warranty.
Note: The maximum ceiling pitch angle should not be exceeded. It will damage the receiver and result in electric shock. Please check with the retailer about the maximum pitch angle suitable for ceiling fan with remote control.
If the remote control device is to be installed with an existing ceiling fan with any of the above wall manual fan controls, PLEASE replace fan wall controller with the double pole ON/OFF switch.
Note: A double pole wall switch must be included in the wiring installation. The double pole switch allows the remote controller to disconnect from the mains 240VAC power during maintenance and cleaning of the ceiling fan.
Before you start using the remote, take the time to read through this section and get familiar with the button and function of each button.
The remote control features an LED indicator at the top. The buttons are clearly labeled:
The red LED indicator on the top of transmitter will flash when the buttons are active.
The remote has memory function. If the fan or light is turned off by the wall switch, it will memorise and recover the last status when turned on next.
Warning: For your safety, ensure the power is switched OFF before starting the troubleshooting procedures
