Introduction
This document provides a quick start guide for the GIGABYTE BRIX Ultra Compact PC Kit, including installation precautions, product specifications, package contents, system appearance, hardware installation, and BIOS setup.
The GIGABYTE BRIX is an ultra-compact PC kit designed for versatility and performance.

Safety and Regulatory Information
General Safety Precautions:
- This product must be grounded. Ensure the power cord's plug is connected to a grounded outlet.
- Risk of explosion if the battery is replaced with an incorrect type. Batteries should be recycled. Dispose of used batteries according to local environmental regulations.
- Before opening the chassis to exchange an internal component, power off the device and let it cool down for at least 10 minutes.
- Failure to use the included Model GB-BR Power Adapter may violate regulatory compliance and expose the user to safety hazards.
- If a battery is swallowed, it can cause severe or fatal internal chemical burns within 2 hours. Keep batteries out of reach of children. Seek immediate medical attention if a battery is suspected to be swallowed.
- Do not force discharge, recharge, disassemble, heat, or incinerate batteries.
- The product contains non-replaceable batteries.

Chapter 1: System Information
1-1 Installation Precautions
The system contains delicate electronic circuits and components that can be damaged by electrostatic discharge (ESD). Follow these precautions:
- Do not remove or break motherboard S/N or warranty stickers.
- Always disconnect the AC power cord before installing or removing components.
- Ensure hardware components are connected tightly and securely.
- Avoid touching metal leads or connectors when handling the motherboard.
- Use an ESD wrist strap or touch a metal object to eliminate static electricity before handling components.
- Place the motherboard on an antistatic pad or in a shielding container before installation.
- Ensure the power supply is turned off and voltage is set correctly before connecting.
- Verify all cables and power connectors are properly connected.
- Prevent screws from contacting motherboard circuits.
- Ensure no leftover screws or metal components are inside the casing.
- Do not place the system on uneven surfaces or in high-temperature environments.
- Turning on power during installation can damage components or cause injury.
- Consult a certified technician if uncertain about installation steps.

The package typically includes the GB-BR Bare-bone unit. It does NOT include M.2 (2280) or SO-DIMM/CSO-DIMM memory.
- 1-3-1 GB-BR Bare-bone: The main PC unit.
- 1-3-2 100W Adapter & Power Cord (20 Vdc, 5.0A): The included power adapter and cord. Use only with this product.
- 1-3-3 Quick Start Guide: This document.
- 1-3-4 VESA Mount Bracket & 6 x Screws: For mounting the unit.
- 1-3-5 Wire Clamp Screw: For cable management.
- 1-3-6 DDR PAD: Thermal pad for DDR memory.

Chapter 3: System Hardware Installation
Pre-installation Instructions
⚠️ WARNING! Computer components can be damaged by electrostatic discharge (ESD). Working on powered computers is dangerous. Follow these guidelines:
- Always disconnect the computer from the power outlet before working inside the case.
- Wear a grounded wrist strap or discharge static electricity by touching a metal object.
- Hold circuit boards by the edges only. Do not touch components.
- Keep components in their static-proof packaging until ready for installation.
3-1 Removing the Bottom Cover
⚠️ Before you remove the bottom cover: Make sure the system is not turned on or connected to AC power.
To remove the bottom cover:
- Unscrew and remove the bottom cover from the system.
- Reinstall the bottom cover to the system.
3-2 Installing the M.2 SSD
⚠️ WARNING! Failure to properly turn off the system before installing components may cause serious damage.
To Install the M.2 SSD:
- Carefully insert the M.2 SSD into the slot.
- Push down until the M.2 SSD clicks into place.
- Ensure the M.2 clip is properly secured to the M.2 SSD.
NOTE! Illustrations are for reference only. Follow the steps for your purchased product.
3-3 Installing the Memory
Before installing memory:
- Ensure the system supports the memory. Using memory of the same capacity, brand, speed, and chips is recommended.
- Always turn off the computer and unplug the power cord before installing memory.
- Memory modules can only be installed in one direction.
To Install Memory (SO-DIMM/CSO-DIMM DDR5):
- When using DDR specifications requiring it, apply the DDR PAD to the motherboard.
- Carefully insert SO-DIMM/CSO-DIMM memory modules.
- Push down until the modules click into place.
NOTE! For DDR5 5600 specifications with 48GB and above, apply the DDR PAD.
3-4 Remove the Wireless Module
To remove the WiFi Module:
- Disconnect the two antennas by lifting off the clips.
- Remove the screw in the middle.
- Carefully pull the wireless module from the slot.
Chapter 4: BIOS Setup
4-1 USB Power On Function
This feature allows the device to power on via USB, useful when mounted behind a display.
To enable USB Power On:
- Press "Del" during device startup to enter BIOS.
- Select "Chipset" from the menu.
- Configure "USB S5 Wakeup Support" to "Enable".
- Press F4 to Save and Exit.
