The Honeywell Optimizer Unitary Controller lets you transfer data without disruptive and expensive infrastructure upgrades, turning older technology into part of a new era of IP control.
System Architecture Overview
The diagram illustrates a building management system architecture featuring Honeywell's Optimizer Suite and Unitary Controllers.
Central Components:
- WEBs-N4 Supervisor: A central supervisory unit connected via BACnet IP / CAT5.
- WEB-8000: A core controller, also connected via BACnet IP / CAT5.
Unitary Controllers and Connectivity:
- Unitary IP Controller: Connects to the WEB-8000 via Sylk™ Bus. It features Outputs (Analog, Digital, Floating, PWM) and Inputs (Analog, Digital). It also supports Wall Modules (TR120x, TR7x, TR4x, Sylk™ Actuator, TR50) and connects via Modbus RTU.
- Unitary MS/TP Controller: Connects to the WEB-8000 via BACnet MS/TP. It has Outputs (Analog, Digital, Floating, PWM) and Inputs (Analog, Digital), and utilizes a Sylk™ Bus. It also connects via Modbus RTU.
- Unitary T1L Controller: Connects to the WEB-8000 via T1L (BACnet IP). It features Outputs (Analog, Digital, Floating, PWM) and Inputs (Analog, Digital), and uses a Sylk™ Bus.
- Unitary WiFi Controller: Connects wirelessly via a Commercial WiFi Router. It also uses a Sylk™ Bus.
Peripheral Devices and Applications:
- T1L Media Adapter: Connects to the T1L (BACnet IP) network.
- Modbus RTU Devices: Includes C7355, C7355B, Energy Meter, and Smart VFD Meter.
- Sylk™ Bus Devices: Includes various Wall Modules and the Balancing App.
- Spyder Devices: Includes Spyder Model 7 VAV, Spyder Model 5 VAV, and Spyder Model 5 Unitary.
