What You Will Need:

• 12 AA Batteries
• SD Card - Class 10, U3, 16GB-32GB (Recommended Brands: Tactacam, Lexar, SanDisk)

Downloading the App:

1. Search "Tactacam Reveal" in the App Store or Google Play.
2. Download and install the app on your smart device.

Setting Up the Camera:

1. Install the camera's antenna securely.
2. Install a Class 10 U3 SD card (16GB or 32GB).
3. Install 12 AA batteries, ensuring correct orientation.
4. Do not remove the pre-installed SIM card.
5. Turn the power switch to SETUP. Check indicator LED status lights (all green for ready, blue for WiFi pairing). A non-green SD card indicator means the card is bad.

Add Camera to the App:

1. Open the Reveal App.
2. Tap the camera icon.
3. Tap the (+) icon to add your first camera and select a data plan.
4. Enter payment information and follow prompts to connect.

Pairing over WiFi Connection:

• The camera pairs with your phone via WiFi (SSID: Reveal_****, Password: Reveal2021).
• This activates the SIM card and data plan.

Sending a Test Picture:

1. Allow the camera to connect to a 4G signal (LED signal indicator solid green).
2. Push the test button to send a photograph. The status light will blink while sending and turn green upon success. A red light indicates a potential issue, usually signal strength.
3. Refer to the app to confirm the picture was sent.
4. Connect to the camera's WiFi for a live preview to aid in setup and placement.

Leaving Your Camera in the Field:

1. Ensure the antenna is securely tightened.
2. Wipe down the seal, removing any dirt or debris.
3. Format your SD card in the App.
4. Verify that motion-detected pictures are sent to your phone via the App.

Best Practices

Motion Sensors (PIR Sensors)

PIR sensors detect heat and motion. Avoid false triggers by clearing low-hanging branches and adjusting sensitivity. Start with High sensitivity and decrease if needed.

Proper Camera Placement

1. Place the camera at waist height (3.5-4 feet) on a tree or post.
2. Adjust the camera angle slightly downwards (7-15 degrees) using small sticks.
3. Face the camera north for optimal lighting, avoiding direct sunlight.
4. A higher placement angled down can narrow the field of view, suitable for specific baiting spots.
5. For food plots, ensure optimal height and angle for the widest field of view.
6. On trails, be aware of faster-moving deer and ensure the correct SD card is used for fast trigger speeds.

Batteries and Cellular Trail Camera Performance

• Recommended batteries: Energizer Lithium ion, Duracell Max Alkaline, Rayovac UltraPro Alkaline.
• In cold weather, lithium-ion batteries provide better performance. Alkaline batteries lose significant capacity below freezing.
• Expected picture counts (in temps above freezing): Lithium: 4000+, Alkaline: 2500+.
• Pairing batteries with the Tactacam Lithium Solar Panel is recommended.

Troubleshooting

Camera Stops Taking Images or Won't Take Images

1. Ensure the SD card is not full. Enable SD Card Loop if necessary.
2. Verify batteries have sufficient power (alkaline or NiMH AA).
3. Confirm the power switch is in the "On" position.
4. Format the SD card with the camera.

Night Vision Flash Range Doesn't Meet Expectations

1. Ensure batteries are fully charged.
2. Select "Max Range" for better IR flash range.
3. High-quality 1.2V NiMH rechargeable AA batteries can improve IR flash range.
4. Surroundings like trees and walls can improve night images by providing reflection. Avoid aiming into open fields with nothing to reflect the IR flash.

Product Care

Internal Condensation on Lens

The Reveal is IP66 rated waterproof. Condensation may occur if the antenna is not screwed in properly, or if the seal has dirt or debris. To resolve:

• Remove the SD card and let the camera air out for 3-4 days.
• Place the camera in a sealed container with rice for 24 hours to absorb moisture.
• Clean the seal and tighten the antenna.

Preventing Theft or Damage

Use a protective security box available at www.revealcellcam.com.

Submerged in Water

1. Do not open the camera immediately.
2. Dry the exterior thoroughly to prevent water from entering the interior.

Limited Warranty

Coverage Duration:

One year from the date of purchase. Register your Reveal at www.tactacam.com/warranty.

What is Covered:

• Manufacturer defects in materials and workmanship, including defective buttons, cracked/chipped glass lens, broken SD card or SIM card spring mechanism, and broken USB port.
• Covered cameras will be repaired or replaced by a certified technician.

What is Not Covered:

• Damage caused by owner modification, attempted repairs, or alterations.
• Damage caused by people or animals (including antenna, strap, Fresnel lens, glass lens, or camera housing). Contact customer support for repair options if damage is caused by owner or animal.

FCC Regulations

This device complies with FCC Part 15. It is designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in residential installations. Users should reorient or relocate the receiving antenna, increase separation between equipment and receiver, or connect to a different circuit to correct interference. Modifications not expressly approved by the responsible party may void the user's authority to operate the equipment.

Radiation Exposure Statement: Antennas must be installed to provide a separation distance of at least 20cm from all persons and must not be co-located or operating with any other antenna or transmitter.
